Don't beat yourself up too much.

This was really an EXCEPTIONAL deal and one of those that you could spend hours upon hours scanning the deals section and not run across except by pure, blind luck.

I bet that I haven't looked at this section but once a month, if that much, but just got lucky that this happened to be up.

Once again, kudos go to the OP for sharing.
 
Even as the OP I amost didn't bite, thinking it was too good to be true or a misprint. About 20 of us got lucky after I found this buried on Amazon and posted.
 
Just got finished with customer service chat and they are going to send me the code for the free copy of Splinter Cell. This is really a great deal now!

Out of curiosity, how did you go about asking?

Also, is there anything you can share with us that we can show to Amazon when we chat to show that you got the code just in case they say no?


edit: I'm chatting with them now, and they are telling me I don't qualify for the promo. So yeah, anything that you can post would be awesome. Screenshot, order #, etc.

Just got mine. It is indeed a 680! So happy that I randomly checked the Deals section when I woke up on Sunday!
 
Grats guys, I was going to do this one but I arrived just as they sold out. It looked good to me, I am familiar with the earlier price mismatch 660 situation and this one looked much more likely to result in a 680. Cheers to those that scored a coup! :)

I bet they are.

Even if I had seen this in time I would probably not have ordered it. I got tired of going through the song and dance every time there is a price mistake somewhere. Usually you just get an order cancellation or at best a coupon or something. Amazon is pretty good to their customers but not always (the other day they shipped my new hard drive via smartpost even though I have prime, believe it or not it didn't show up in two days). I contacted their customer service about why they shipped it via a service that wouldn't possibly get to me in two days and they just said to wait until I received it and send it back if I don't want it.

Anyway, congrats to everyone that got one. Ha, probably better that I didn't get one as I would have had to spend an extra $100+ on a new gpu water block.

yeah it's small consolation that they wouldn't have fit in my case even if I had been able to order one...at least I tell myself that and it also happens to be true :|

I purchased two of them when I saw the deal though SLI!!!!.
I was looking around best deal I could find at the time was ~$400 on e-bay so I got two.

Now I'm thinking I should have bought all 12 at the time. They went fast.

Thinking about turing around and selling either one or two, since I would never fit two of these in my case.

But not for $250 LOL

Yes they are. You could put them in a case and display them as works of art.

I am getting worried that these monsters are going to rip out the PCIe slots on my motherboard if I use them in SLI. I may need to buy a Coolermaster HAF XB so I can keep from putting too much stress on the board. What a dilemma!

Make sure if your cases have the videocard support bracket doohickies you use them. These beasts are very heavy, and will sag otherwise, haha. I couldn't even imagine what SLI'ing these would look like. I'm on a HAF-X and probably wouldn't do it.

But it is a great chance to troll other 680 deals with "Not nearly as hot as the GTX 680 DC2 for $196 I saw at [H]." :D
 
Can't believe I missed this by 2.5 hours.....I swear I can never win. Thinking back on it I would have bought 3 this was a win win situation with amazon

I was going to order four just to build a dream system. But changed my mind. Got two coming. Still may only use one and use the other to fund the rest of my build. But I will be fair about it if I do decide to sell.

Got an email saying that my order is cancelled and I'm being refunded my money. Stills shows that it already shipped though and will arrive on the 11th
