How Nokia Deals With iPhone Owners

Nokia.....

the Fisher-Price of the cellphone industry
My girlfriend has a Lumia 900. Say what you want about Metro on the desktop but it's pretty pleasant to use on a phone, and her Lumia has the best camera I have ever used on a cellphone. The pictures are stunning.

So this video is showing what exactly? That someone representing a company isn't going to talk about an unreleased product?

This doesn't really seem like news.

Is it me, or was the reporter a freaking child... "I want a nokia 928..." x8 times at least. The Nokia guy should have just brought a dora video to keep the reporter distracted.

Personally, I like that interview style. Ask the question and if they try to shift the focus then ask the question again, and again, and again until they tell you bluntly they can't answer it or give you an answer. Either way, don't let them deflect with marketing speak. So many interviewers just shift to the next question when they're getting marketing fluff as an answer and it is really unsatisfying as a viewer.

Maybe it's because the current Nokia phones are crap, and he wants to know if the new one is shit as well?

For investigative reporting sure... This is a press junket interview, just like late night show interviews. There is an understanding that the cost of the interview is a plug. Otherwise you won't get any interviews.

No bearing at all. Just because you you have an opinion doesn't give you the right to be a child.

Even if that was the case he would have asked questions instead of being childish.

Go Linux, Go Android. Go Linux, Go Android. Go Linux, Go Android.

I did, however, like what he did with the iPhone...;) Seems like the perfect solution.

Hi, that "reporter" is actually one of Finlands most successful entrepeneurs, businessman and self made multimillionaire. Love him or hate him but he is not going to take any bs from anyone ;)

While I would generally agree, this isn't about a particularly important issue: it's about some phone. A phone that's likely not much different from Nokia's currently-available phones anyway.

Windows Phone isn't bad, but that's a dumb bet Nokia made.

"throw"?

That was more like setting aside... a foot off the ground... the reporter wasn't even concerned.

Needed more hurling.

apparently hes a millionare. Doubt he really cares about a single iphone

What's so crappy about Nokia's current phones?

I haven't owned one, but the 920 I looked at at the Microsoft Store seemed pretty nice.

Wow, so Nokia phones aren't shit then?

Wow. Who let the children get in to this forum?

So what exactly is Nokias market share these days? I think more technologically informed people are like myself, hence Nokias market share numbers.

But it's nice to see you here, I love it when an adult can't take a little bit of fun.

I bet most of the Nokia hate are from people that haven't even used a newer Nokia phone. I've had my Lumia 920 for a few months now from an iPhone 4 and I love it, no regrets at all. And it won't be long before the fiancé has one as well.

I've owned the original Ngage and thought it was freakin awesome. The hate for Lumina phones are because of Windows. Lets be frank, it's either iPhone or Android or go home. I would have liked Nokia if they stuck with Symbian, but they didn't. They became Microsoft's bitch.

Wow, you base your opinion of a product on market share. I bet you thought the iPhone was a hoax when it was released, Android was a joke on launch, and T-Mobile was foolish when it doubled down on the G1.

And by what measure are you "technologically informed?" My opinion of your opinion, see, is that anyone who can't see beyond market share is a skeptic who are unable to comprehend what it means to truly appreciate a product, let alone bother testing a product or make an opinion about it.

Since you implied that you're just a child, didn't your parents tell you to be quiet when the adults are talking?

In this thread: "My phone is better than yours because only a few people have it." Like idiots saying their "insert obscure band here" that nobody has heard of is their favorite band.

Nowhere in this thread is anyone saying such things.. :p

I'd take the 920 over an iPhone 4 as well, but there are plenty of phones I'd take over the 920 such as the Nexus 4, Galaxy S3, iPhone 5, HTC One, etc...

And yes, I've used it.

I wouldn't consider the iPhone 5 an upgrade from a 4, which is why I went with the 920, plus it was $100 and came with a wireless charger. The whole iphone/iOS was just getting stale and the "upgrades" were basically things they were finally catching up with. I was never fond of the GS3 either. I did like the HTC's though, but I wanted to try out windows phone since it was different than the rest.
