The [H]ardForum Perpetual Freebies Thread

Sorry to hear about that... I'll be glad to help again, tho :D

I've got a couple 462 boards, but I've never tested 'em. Good thing I didn't send you all of my 462 procs :p 5 boards total, some mATX and some full ATX. What size do you need?

...also if you're in the market for a PSU, I've got a spare Astek 145W model off an old box. I think it runs on dust, but I think it does run.

Shoot me a PM. (...and an answer to my earlier-today email, the one with the attachment -- when you have time.)

Works well enough for me. :p Also, you can probably get a Dymo label maker and some label tape for it for less than $15. Not trying to thread-crap; just a couple suggestions.

Anyone need a Phenom II P960 Quad core laptop processor? All I ask is that the person wanting it pays for shipping, that is all. (I have it because I upgraded my laptop to a N970.)

Also, does anyone have a Dell OEM Windows 7 x64 DVD? I'd take SP1 or original. I have several Dell Win 7 32-bit original & SP1, but I can't find my x64 disk :(

I have a key already, just need the disk to do a re-install.

EDIT: nevermind - akinsey pointed me to ISO's online

Might not work, remember dell re-install cd's dont ask for a key to install..

Monkey34, if you get a little desperate for RDRAM shoot me a PM. I don't have 512s but I've got 2x128 and 2x256 -- and four 'blanks'. These are dell pulls and I can't speak to their functionality (untested!) but if you want 'em you got 'em.

EDIT: also, Evil Juggalo, you have a PM.

These are Dell ISO's, and they may need a phone call to activate. No tworries, because I have a legit key on the computer. :D

I might. Let me check tomorrow. If i dont pm you by tomorrow evening, pm ME a reminder to look.

BTW all: still looking for four 512mb rdram.

Very cool  I also have three 128MB RDRam sticks of you can't find 512MB sticks.

Looking for a Sony Vaio reinstall DVD for win7 pro X64 even a copy would be fine.
Willing to pay for the shipping of course.

As i said, dell dvd's don't need a phone call or a key to activate.
For any major OEM Windows XP SP3, Vista, and Win7: if the mobo is OEM w/ the proper SLIC table (or SLP string for XP) installed, then you won't need a key/call to activate. However, you don't even need an OEM ISO to re-install on your OEM machine. You can find the certificates and OEM keys online. Offline activation requires any OEM key and a cert with a matching SLIC table in the mobo's BIOS. ;)
I was just paraphrasing the website, which listed it may be necessary. I haven't tried it yet myself.
If the system came with the OS you're trying to re-install, you shouldn't have to call to reactivate.

Looking for a undamaged lcd screen for a F500 compaq laptop, it's a 15.4 screen mine has lines all over could really use one in better shape willing to pay a modest amount for it.$30 shipped or less hopefully.

that's gonna be hard to find. People ask in the ballpark of 100 for them on ebay. LCD's are not being manufactured any longer, that is what bumped the price.
I'm looking for one for f700 myself

Looking for front bay 5.25" covers, preferably in white.
This is for older computer in ATX case, one of the CD/DVD drives stopped working and I can't find the old cover.
Thanks

@shaks: I have a couple in old uglyass beige if that would work... I can paint 'em white if you like as well, as long as you don't mind matte walmart rattle-can white.

Shoot me a PM and we'll work something out.

some wanted DVI-VGA adapter, i've found one can send it if still looking for it. send me PM if still looking for it.

Anyone have a CPU clamshell for an 1155 chip? I'm pretty sure any 1156, 1155, 771 or 775 will do and Thank You in advance :)

I need several working PATA IDE laptop hard drives (2.5-inch) of ANY capacity
Then I'm having trouble with using 2.5" in the search tool.

I need one myself. Problem is, they generally don't qualify for listing in this thread because if the capacity is over about 10-20gb (that is to say, if it's useful at all) it's in high demand. Therefore there's a price tag. This thread is for shit that is too old or too small to warrant a price tag or any sort of real demand. Little crap.

Go over to eBay and search "ide laptop 80" for an 80gb drive, "ide laptop 40" for a 40gb, etc -- and after wading through the nonfunctional "for parts" listings (those are so pointless!) and the purposefully mislisted SATA drives, you'll find that for an 80gb model the prices start at $30. You'll pay a little less for a 60gb (about $20), and a bit less than that for a 40gb ($15 or so).

That's why I don't have one -- I don't have that kind of money, and the system I'm working on is on the sidelines because of its issues and the fact that I've more than one system -- this computer can wait.

i think i've got a 60gb pata latptop drive, i'll have to look for it, i'd love to give it away for shipping costs as i've gotten plenty of good stuff from this thread

pm for it.

Not sure if anyone would be interested, but I have a Precision 380 workstation with a bad motherboard I've been parting out and I'm left with a case with mobo, front power button/USB panel board + proprietary cable, and fan cages. Everything else has been stripped out.

The front panel board seems to work fine, case is in good shape with an XP Pro 32 license attached. If anyone could use the front panel board or the whole thing please let me know before I throw it out. Shipping for the front panel board shouldn't be much, not sure about the whole case though.

UPDATE: Front panel board + cable currently pending.

Thanks! :)

Anyone have rack ears for Cisco 2600,3600 routers and 2900 series switches lying around? I could use two pair for 2600, one pair for a 3600 and two pair of 2900 ears (the 2600 and 2900 may share the same ears, dunno)

Will pay shipping or trade some equipment for them

Still looking for laptop IDE/PATA hard drives. These are to replace ones that have failed. Looking for something 20GB+ if possible.

Not exactly free, I know, but I have a laptop that I am selling that comes with 2 extra IDE hard drives for free.

Hey, got a SanDisk SDDR-99 5-in-1 USB card reader here.

This card reader is a little old, but it can read: SD/SDHC, MMC, MMC+, MMCmobile, RS-MMC, RS-MMC Dual Voltage, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, xD, xD Type M, and xD Type H cards.

The install CD contains a User Guide PDF, drivers for Win98Se (XP has the drivers built in), a "button application" (reader has an app button on the top), and Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter.

I've got the reader itself, the USB cable, install CD, User Guide, and a little leaflet about Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter. I plugged it into my laptop, and it did read an SD card from my camera (after I blew on it -- I've had it for a while, so it's a little dusty).

I know this is sort of a odd request but I am looking for a oscilloscope, a newer one would be great but older ones are ok too. I know shipping can be a lot on these, but I am willing to pay the shipping provided it not outrageous. I would be grateful with any offers though.

Thanks!
