Weird, strange exotic PC Games ?

Like FarCry, ZenoClash,
games that take you somewhere strange or totally foreign alien feeling?

Lots of older titles, like the oddworld series and sacrifice. (both availible from steam)

Newer titles like the void and I suppose alice:madness returns. (both on steam too)

Oblivion in the Shivering Isles... :D

Can't think of anything as weird as Zenoclash though, haha!

You should check out Alice: Madness Returns. It has 6 levels, each unique and exotic, plus trips though a surreal London between levels.

Outcast. Very underrated.

I'm not a graphics whore but that game is seriously unplayable. It has the worst 3D graphics by a super long out of reach shot.. I have it on my Win 98 machine and I just can't bring myself to play it

Here are some screens: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/outcast/

Looks even worse on my retro gaming PC since it's old and doesn't have enough power for AA

Yup, it hasn't aged well. It is an interesting an unique game, though.

Drakan.

The answer to that is obviously yes, right now, Shadows of Chernobyl with the complete mod imo.

If you like adventure games:

Syberia I/II
The Longest Journey
Sanitarium

As far as others, most recently the one that springs to mind is the newest Alice: Madnes returns, it has some breathtaking scenery, the artstyle/worlds are just so damn nice to look at.

Pathologic
Precursors
Hard to Be A God (don't let the negative reviews fool you...it's actually pretty likeable, especially if you care about story)
Messiah
Omikron: The Nomad Soul
Outcast
Chronomaster

I've never played them but Sacrifice and Citizen kabuko? whatever that developer is makes some weird games.

Cryostasis is by far one of the weirder games I've played. Clive Barker's undying is fun as well.

Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Sam & Max, Myst, Riven, The Daedalus Encounter, Singularity, The Suffering, Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Spiral Knights, Bully, Braid, Samorost, Samorost 2, Dark Messiah Might and Magic, DEFCON, Darwinia, Psychonauts, Machinarium, and yes, the STALKER games are absolutely worth playing.

Alice 2. Finally finished it today (It's a really long game for a platformer) and it's easily one of the best games i've played in a very long time.

Casting my vote for Psychonauts, the game has an amazing art style, still looks great and takes you to a wide variety of strange / exotic locations.

Psychonauts

Also forgot another gem, The Void.

It's a very surreal game, like zeno clash but ti's not an action game in that sense
That reminds me, The Void was made by the same dev as Pathologic. They sure have an affinity for crazy!

Out of This World, and Flashback...very good old games

World of Warcraft

Minecraft. The scenery generated in there never gets old. Some mines are totally endless and fills with water , lava , m

There's a game of the week sale on steam that currently costs about 4 bucks. I'd suggest you check it out :D. ZENO CLASH

Septerra Core.

The story was good and the world is really unlike something you've seen before.

Really? I thought it was a pretty generic steampunk/post-apoc/JRPG setting. Couldn't get into it.

Maybe Manhunt 1 or 2. Pretty strange, exotic and weird when first released.

No one mentioned Catherine? Fairly unique platformer

Interesting game, only played a demo though haven't had time to get it/finish it

I have no mouth and i must scream

Septerra Core.

Septerra Core, I'd second. The world is fairly decent, storyline is not-bad, gameplay is overall fun but a fairly predictable jrpg-clone battle system. I found I got a good 15 hours of fairly fun gameplay out of it which for me was not bad at all. Consider I got the game for $5.00 in a '3 games for $15.00 bundle where the other two goes were HOMM3/3exp'.

Condemned Criminal Origins. That game was amazing, the story was awesome and the gameplay was quite scary. I often got scared that you would get attacked while scanning places for fingerprints :D
