A lot of improvement over the past few years. Was a member of this site before but my account got screwed up some how. But I just got my first HDTV and I cant believe I went this long without one.

Camera and lighting suck, plus I couldn't find my tripod. Other then that, what do you think?

I actually don't game on the PC any more. As soon as I get a long enough cable to connect the TV to my PC then I might game on it again. Cant wait to have all 3 LCD's hooked up. Yes it is a 40 Dynex and it is perfect for how much I paid for it. HD channels look good and xbox is amazing. I deff recommend going Dynex or Insignia if your low on cash and don't mind not having all of the bells and whistles. Getting a Insignia Blu-Ray player in a few weeks. Mouse is also pretty nice. Tracks on anything and everything. Fits my hand perfect and doesn't eat up batteries.
 
Thannks alot man, I actually have a 32inch Dynex, love it but I want 1080p and a bigger screen so was looking at the 40inch, you sealed the deal for me! Thanks. Also pc gaming on a tv that big from that far sounds kinda fun! Tell me how it goes. Have you gamed at all with that mouse?
 
Actually not much. Maybe a game or 2 of Counter Strike Source. A couple years ago I was a huge CS:1.6, CS:S, and Team Fortress 2 gamer. Then I got an xbox 360 and forgot how to use a mouse and keyboard. lol. Now I really want to get back into it. I need a 20ft HDMI cable and a HDMI to DVI connector and I'll be all set. A week or 2 maybe. PM me and once I try the mouse out and PC games on the Dynex I can let you know how it works out.

I must add that I am a Best Buy employee. But I am a Inventory Specialist and work in the back. Selling is not my thing, and neither is ripping people off. lol. But I do highly recommend Best Buy brand products. The best bang for buck based on most items.

you are so lucky you just said you work in back. if you would of said your an on floor sales person I would of just laid into you good . I despise best buy sales people. as long as you work in back that's ok.
 
lol, funny you mention that. i despise them too. haha. When ever I am on the sales floor, I try to listen to them try to sell and it just amazes me. There was one time where the sales guy didn't help the customer at all, he was about to leave empty handed. As soon as the sales guy walked away, I stepped in and got the guy to be a TV and a bunch of cables. Just from recommending Dynex vs where the sales guy said they were crap and he should get Samsung or Sony. Id be a great salesman, but I will never sink that low. lol. But yeah, anytime I mention to people I work at Best Buy I always have to throw in the part about working in the back.
 
I here ya, Even though I don't like the sales peoples tactics. I do still need to purchase stuff there once and a while. I can't stand to listen to them tell people that they need this or need that. (When there is other cheaper options) Sometimes I actually butt in politely, and tell the customer the truth especially if it is a large purchase . I could tell some stories that could fill a book. they trip out every time they ask me If they could help me with something and I give out a firm and resounding NO!!!!!! and they and they just stand there dumb founded and surprised.
 
Who knows, Maybe :). But i think i live too far away from you, and i got only one little bed (6).
For school, we sometimes go out , to another country for "schoolthings" and then we go to anyone elses house, and that person comes here. I hate it, because i miss my room and another asshole is in it. :-( If you know what i mean.. Exchange, Switch.. Dont know the word for it at the moment...
 
funny story. a buddy of mine does the the price adjustments on open item tv's at work. When I walked in today he told me to go check them out. There was a open Toshiba 40XV645U marked down to $455. I got the 40 Dynex for $490. Long story short, returning the Dynex in the morning and getting the Toshiba. 120hz for $455, cant beat that.
 
I did a small update to my home entertainment unit. I added a set of 'wireless' (by wireless, the surround speakers connect to a wireless adaptor, so not actually wireless) Sony 5.1 surround speakers, and mounted the speakers on the wall behind the couch.

Looks pretty good, everything is glossy black now.

been seeing setups for long, first post, new member.



as of now, 2494HM-HAS and 2443BW-HAS. i rarely put them both vertical. planning to upgrade speakers. commons would be nice! thanks

i know the wiring is a bit messy, i don't plan to hide them as i move around a lot
