Its being shipped from FAR away...probably early January it should be here.
 
HP4 for 2600 used? Isn't that a bit much? Pretty sure I've seen it around for less, new.
 
Umm...its now going for 5K new, which is insane. And I have only seen 2 used ones up for sale anywhere for months. The other was 220 volt, so I skipped on it. I was actually considering saving up for the new one, so half price starts to look quite nice. Especially when used Apaches are going for the same price. It was actually $2500, but with shipping and paypal fees....

Oh, and on the price, dunno what he's smoking. New its just over 2500 pounds at Stone Audio, which puts you at about 5100 USD. Headroom has it for just under $4000, but its OOS. Musicdirect has it for $5000, also OOS. $2600 is a GREAT price. Enjoy it!
 
Hell yeah I'll throw up some pics when I get it. I think this officially means I can no longer use my iphone for pictures lol.
 
I've always been curious about the Ear HP4. Seems crazy expensive for something so small, but is supposed to have amazing synergy with Grados. Congrats.

I've also always been interested in the HP4. What really pushed me over the edge was a series of PMs I had w/ Afrikane. He thoroughly enjoyed it, especially w/ HD650 as I recall asking him about this specific phone since its what I have. It was basically great across the board, according to him.

I may need to hunt down a vintage RS1 too.
Of course Randerson is also selling his K1000s so....it may be a fiscally busy month for me lol.
I've been looking into getting an apartment, so Im trying to buy up all the stuff I want first, as rent will make for some lean times:rolleyes:

I love the look! But my ears aren't lovin' the sound so far. I bought them used, but they are not vintage. Also any new rs-1's purchased from now on will have no button in the middle and different lettering around the cup.
 
Give an amp a shot, and dont worry; I sold my 225s on headfi about 5 minutes after I posted them for sale. You can always get your money back for headphones if you don't like them.
I wouldn't mind trying a vintage pair someday, just for fun, but don't feel like looking for them.

I have a lot of offers for the SR225...but i want the 325's, so i can try out this famous grado sound that is so highly praised when paired with rock
 
I don't like my SR-80s, but I haven't had an amp and for some reason my laptop sound card sounds way better than my AV710, so it is definitely an amp issue.
Got a Little Dot II++ for Christmas, and it is currently shipping right now. :p

So we will see how these bad boys sound like with some tubes.
 
I recently bought a pair of beyer DT-880s. Didn't like the way they sounded though so I bought a pair of HD650s and a darkvoice 332 amp to replace them. Got rid of my panasonic xr-55 as well.

Heh, mine is just the LDII++, not the MK revision. Try some Mullard M8161 (CV4015) tubes when you get a chance, they are simply awesome.

Eh, mine is too, the LD II++ are just that... not MK or anything. They have MKI, MKIII, and MKV.

ARe those the output or power tubes, I heard that the output tubes had the most effect on sound. (might have been other way around, been a long time since I researched them.

Oh well, I have waited long enough to get my Grados working properly, my AV710 just cannot put out enough umph for them and they sound worse than iBuds.
If I cannot get the SR80s like I want then I will just sell them for 80 Shipped, which is the same price I got them for ^_^ and only used them about 5 times and only for a few minutes before I went back to my HD485s.
 
Im switching to the grado camp...just to give them a spin
but ive been offered lots for a trade for my HD600's

225's+TTVJ pads+50$
325i's (if i can get them...its what i want)
or 60 drivers, in 325 cups, leather headband up on top, and cabled with cardas
(probably the most intresting but idk 60 drivers are making me iffy about it, the guy said he preferred it over his 325's)


what do you guys think?
