I thought so too until I tested a few times and found the scores to be within 80 points of each other. Depending on the driver version my Vista scores were a tad higher than my XP scores. I have to setup my webspace account for pics and I'll post later on but I scored 11073 in XP and 11023 in Vista during my latest test runs. I've benched a little higher but not more than 11120 in either OS. Either way it doesn't make a difference during gameplay. With the exception of Rainbo Six Vegas (I hope Ubisoft hires a better batch of developers), gaming is the same on both OS's.Not sure how many people are testing with Vista yet, I think it hurts the 3dmark06 score compared to XP according to the Anandtech article.
Anyway, here are my numbers with Vista Enterprise 32bit
