    Need temporary motherboard

Unfortunately, no Fry's around here. I checked the specs on ESC's website on the motherboard I linked above (after being redirected to an Asian porn site...freaky Taiwanese people) and apparently only CPUs up to 95W works (mine is 125). Can't find any other motherboards for under $50 with...

    Is the board to blame?

From what I've read about previous Gigabyte RMA experiences, it seems that sending you a refurbished board is the last resort for Gigabyte.

    Need temporary motherboard

I'm currently looking for a relatively cheap motherboard (say, $30 - $45) as my Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P is broken and in for RMA (sent it on Friday, so it will probably take 4+ weeks until I get it back). I don't expect much from the motherboard (no OC or anything). The cheaper the better, as long...

Computer turns on, but does not boot

I tried the speakers both ways (swapping +/-), went and got a second speaker to make sure it wasn't the speaker that was broken. I took everything out of the case, placed the motherboard on the box, and tried to force the beeps without RAM and video card (but nothing). I will bring it to the...

Computer turns on, but does not boot

Yeah. The computer was working fine until I decided to Crossfire. After that, it stopped working. If I were to bring it into a computer repair shop, do you think they'll be able to test the CPU/mobo for me?

Computer turns on, but does not boot

I also forgot to mention, but I don't know how significant this is, but the power button works when I want to turn on the computer, but it does not work when I want to power it off (even after pressing it for a few seconds). I don't think the restart button works either, but I am almost certain...

Computer turns on, but does not boot

I tried crossfire'ing two HD4890s earlier, but was unable to have it start (would not even power up..would light up for a split second). I figured that my powersupply wasn't good enough, so I called it quits and removed the second video card out. When I tried to boot it afterwards, the computer...

    DDR2-1066 vs. Dual channel

According to my motherboard memory list, in order to run DDR2-1066, I would have to have 1 DIMM per channel. If I were to do that, I would sacrifice dual channel for it. Is it better to leave it like it is (running dual channel), or should I move a stick for 1066?
