And the main reason on the ask was to make sure I wasn’t missing the boat if on newer gear power supply needs have changed rapidly. I didn’t think much changed, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
the “you don’t know” poor attitude is not appreciated, validation and asking should always be welcomed.
Thanks! At the time these went in I saw DOA concerns but nothing related to explosions. As they worked I didn’t think about it.
but once the danger part became well known, to the garbage they go. The exchange program I don’t even feel comfortable or worth the waste of time.
Hey everyone,
So with some video card bundles that I purchased I ended up getting 3 of these now infamous Gigabyte 750/850W Gold power supplies. I ended up putting them in my lab to replace some pre-80 plus Corsair CX units but now a couple months later they are a danger. As these units run...
Hey everybody,
I am looking to find at least one old Gigabyte TPM 1.2 volume (either the 1.0 or 1.1 model of their 20-pin TPM). I fully understand this does not work with Windows 11, I want to do some TPM work with some older FM2+ systems that I use in my lab, and the Gigabyte TPM 2.0 module...
Interesting - thank you for that. Going to see if Gigabyte is useful (doubtful) and that will likely be my option.
Or just sell it as people seem to want these for a lot of money lol
Thanks for the replies - I am running this on my bench which is an AB350 Gaming 3 Gigabyte board on latest BIOS - with an EVGA 1060 6GB in it, CSM disables and I am able to do a pure UEFI boot, and then enable Secure Boot with no issues.
With this RX580 in there I reboot with CSM off and it...
Hey everyone,
I have a RX580 (rx580aorus-8gd Rev. 1.0) running BIOS F4 with Samsung chips.
I have been doing Windows 11 config testing with different builds as a work side projects (IT Consultant here) and I noticed one config would not take Secure Boot and it involves this RX580. I cannot...
Build is done, only issue was it took a bit to get the Virtualization bit turned on - besides that though it was flawless :)
M.2 NVME drives are awesome!
Thank you everyone for all of your help :)
Thanks everyone
I am an AMD fan boy so it feels good to be going back to the AMD fold. I picked up the 2700x as I forgot the 1800x didn't have a cooler included.
I would have a Hyper 212 kit to re-use, but my 4790k setup is still pretty good, I plan to put that into my bench / encoding rig...
Hello everyone, I am just looking to purchase a new board / CPU / RAM as the rest of my components are just fine
I have decided on a Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming motherboard and 32GB of DDR 2933 memory
The processor decision has turned out to be a lot more complicated than I expected due...
Good evening :)
A very good friend of mine is looking to upgrade his old in the tooth Core i5 750 rig. Space is an issue so he is looking mATX. Here is the build I am proposing:
I am a bit out of date on what is cool / fast as I deal much more with servers/storage in my work life than...
Thank you kindly, forgot about the previous version area of their site
5 days and not a peep on the AMD forums, you got me sorted in 14 minutes
As I noted - thank you sir!
Hey there,
I created this thread on the AMD forums and seem to be getting no where...

I am looking to get my hands on a newer installer for the RAIDExpert2 tool that works with the A88X. In short the RAIDExpert2 utility download from this link...
Completed the rebuild into a Corsair 100R Silent Edition - beside it being the smallest and one of the most difficult to cable manage things I have ever worked on... the temps fell by a huge amount :)
Idle on the CPU is around 32C and it loads to 57-58C at much lower RPM counts on the HSF...
You cannot position the heatsink any different, I am pretty limited on selection / choices as I can only use a 92mm fan on it as the case isn't wide enough (see - it only has 92mm fans in it)
I think I will just get a better case :) Nice to have some front USB 3.0 ports anyway
Thanks for the help
