It's 8 years old or so. I've had three from that era, all still crank. Those things were beasts. At this point, the cost of the rest of the rig probably warrants a new psu along with it, even though this will be a lower power user (no big video card, no spinning drive platters, etc.)

I have this same exact issue. After 14 months of perfect operation, PC crapped out one night (beeping woke me up). I've tried trouble shooting, but nothing's working, so I'm guessing somethings wrong with the PSU. Did your new unit work okay, paco?
