Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It's 8 years old or so. I've had three from that era, all still crank.
Those things were beasts.
At this point, the cost of the rest of the rig probably warrants a new psu along with it, even though this will be a lower power user (no big video card, no spinning drive platters, etc.)
I have an Enermax 720w PSU (modular) that's been a workhorse for me for years.
I'm in the middle of planning a new build, and I'm considering dropping it in the new box. It's quiet and has been rock solid for so long, I'm wondering if it's nuts to consider reusing it.

It is overkill, I agree, but where this will effectively be the only real box in the house (non-tablet, laptop or phone), I'd like it to be the flagship, and be able to hand future utility expansion.
You're right on the graphics. I'll be taking the same strategy with sound for now, as it...
I'm in the process of planning for a new household rig that will be storage for all family photos, movies etc., personal files, music, etc. I'd like it to operate as a secure cloud server for my family's mobile (music, videos, etc.) and everything else going on in our lives.
I'll have the...
Full disclosure, this is my first build in years. I'm still getting up to speed on where technology has gone over the past 4-5 years.
I'm about to rebuild my HTPC into a central box for the home. It will perform some minor HTPC duties (will not be a TV Tuner/DVR) but will primarily serve as...
I'm using an Nvidia 7600gs on a Foxconn 939 mobo and when i stream some videos online, the Cpu is doing all the work and the Gpu is idle The quality is clearly lacking. Can someone help me find the setting to force this? I cant find it in the Nvidia settings.
TIA
I have this same exact issue. After 14 months of perfect operation, PC crapped out one night (beeping woke me up).
I've tried trouble shooting, but nothing's working, so I'm guessing somethings wrong with the PSU.
Did your new unit work okay, paco?
