Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
No I didn't, but neither I did in the other Dell monitor.
The pictures I posted are from the same monitor, but you are right I should post pictures from two different monitors. Mine was also a general question about ultrawide monitors.
I have played around with sharpness but it seems the monitor struggles with some letters, for example 'w', look at these pictures
Text looks sharper and more defined on my older 16:9 2k Dell monitor, u2713h.
I never had these kind of monitors with the 21:9 aspect ratio and have seen another...
It is in a HP elitebook 850 purchased in Europe, I can't find any info anywhere, from hwinfo I get
IVO M156NVF4 R0 , the resolution is 1920x1080 on linux.
and IVO model 61c.
made week 0 of 2017
Google takes me some some HP certification but no further info. And some russian sites where I...
Unfortunately I can't return it, so I would like a technical opinion in regards. This is the G5, so it's true that it will be replaced with a refurbished part but I have 3 years of warranty.
I have an HP 850 elitebook with a glossy touch screen which is one of the worst panels I have ever experienced, especially at this price point. The panel is AU Optronics [ AUO23ED], any other info that can be useful please just ask.
Particularly with light colors I can see distinctively the...
I have an 850 G5 with the 1920x1080 touch screen but I would like to replace it with the 1920x1080 400 nits screen which is offered by HP. I have checked the HP spec sheets and it says the touch screen interface is "eDP 1.2" while the 400 nits screen interface is "eDP 1.3 + PSR".
I would like...
I think power consumption will not be a problem because the LG gram has a touch version which consumes more power. At least on that website I can't find any lcds that have brightness above 300 nits.
I know not a lot of people in this forum don't have this laptop (the LG forum is dead), but maybe people who tinker with lcds can help me?
This is the panel in question http://www.panelook.com/LP156WF8-SPA1_LG%20Display_15.6_LCM_parameter_27148.html
What I don't like about it, it's glossy...
I have bought a usb-c to hdmi cable. The problem is the same I had with another usb-c hub. The first time I connect everything goes well. Then, If I put my computer to sleep, or if I disconnect the cable, the usb-c port doesn't respond after reconnect or waking up the laptop. I have noticed...
Thanks, that's not very practical, but it might be useful to know which pins in the VGA port would need to be touched to activate the adapter. CableDeconn has been useless, blaming that it's my laptop.
As a follow up to this thread https://hardforum.com/threads/usb-monitor-connection-for-multi-monitor-setup.1956309/
I have bought a CableDeconn usb-c hub that has dvi, vga, and hdmi. After some testing I have noticed that if I only plug in the DVI cable the hub seems not to turn on, once I plug...
Thank you Dan for the precious info. I don't need to run anything beyond 1080, so that should not be a problem. Is there anyway I can determine if my usb-c port supports DP alt mode? I can't find any info online regarding my laptop. I don't necessarily need DP, I can use DVI + VGA for the two...
That makes sense. So I was thinking something like this
