I have bought a usb-c to hdmi cable. The problem is the same I had with another usb-c hub. The first time I connect everything goes well. Then, If I put my computer to sleep, or if I disconnect the cable, the usb-c port doesn't respond after reconnect or waking up the laptop. I have noticed that if I replug after a certain amount of time, maybe 5-10 minutes, than the usb-c port works again.
This does not happen with a Dell usb-c hub, the DA 200.
Is this a driver issue or a hardware limitation? What could possibly trigger this? I tried to turn off any power savings in device manager but it hasn't helped.
The laptop is the LG Gram 15 2016, the usb-c to hdmi cable is Choetech, but it doesn't seem to matter. If this port wouldn't support DP alt mode than it wouldn't work at all, correct?
