I used crazy level up in the bios to auto the overclock and ram. I've only run cinebench and final fantasy 14 benchmarks.
In cinebench I get 10.56 and in final fantasy 14 I get 1700 on high and 3000 on low. Thanks for the help.
I bought a new cpu. I7 980x.
I overclocked it to 4.1ghz but I'm go crazy here and maybe some one can help me out.
cpu-z shows the correct clock but in windows 7 x64,cinebench and the ff14 benchmark it only shows 3.59.
motherboard is Rampage 3.
I'm pretty sure I have disabled...
I have a X6800 right now and I'm thinking about buying some new ram and maybe replacing my X6800 with a Q9550. Should I just stick with my X6800 or get a Q9550? I don't care for the new intel cpu's yet. I use my pc mostly for gaming.
I've had my X6800 for a while now I am wondering if I should upgrade to something like the cheaper dual core for better performance? or just wait it for another year?
I only honestly don't know much about computers, I just got into building a pc a while back and as any noobie with money...
I know this is a noobie type question and I'm sorry but how do you get your memory so high?
in the evga precision tool and nivida it only goes to 1815max. Also my shader won't go above 1458 as well or else I get problems.
I downloaded 3DMark Vantage and tried that benchmark and that brought the heat up to 70c which sounds a little more normal but my overclock must not be stable because as it hit 70c my video driver crashed and my card underclocked to 300 core clock it was stuck like that until I restart.
I am using the evga precision tool and I put core clock to 730,shader,1586,memory clock 1244. fan 80%
I don't know what to use to test out my overclock so I played age of conan everything maxed out for 30 minutes and my video card temps would not go above 50-51c which I find strange...
Sorry for such a noobie question but my I think my motherboard (Intel Bad Axe 2 D975XBX2) only supports 1.0pcie, do I need to upgrade and buy another motherboard? I hope not because I have just enough to buy 280. Thanks
