I bought a new cpu. I7 980x.

I overclocked it to 4.1ghz but I'm go crazy here and maybe some one can help me out.

cpu-z shows the correct clock but in windows 7 x64,cinebench and the ff14 benchmark it only shows 3.59.

motherboard is Rampage 3.

I'm pretty sure I have disabled everything that would slow down the cpu in the bios.

Thanks for any help.

software issue. sounds like it is not reading the multiplier, and only looking at bclk setting. How do you have it overclocked, and what scores are you getting?

I used crazy level up in the bios to auto the overclock and ram. I've only run cinebench and final fantasy 14 benchmarks.

In cinebench I get 10.56 and in final fantasy 14 I get 1700 on high and 3000 on low. Thanks for the help.

some benchmarks don't read cpu overclocks correctly. Like SFIV reports the 920 running at 2.66 ghz when it's at 4.1. Etc.
