i upgraded an Asus P4C from 2 GB to 4 GB. it only recognizes about 3.3 GB.
kept a 10% OC. works good !
the 2 GB was 4 x 512 mushkin level 2, 2-2-2-5.
the 4 GB is 4 x 1 GB OCZ platinum DDR 2-3-2-5.

in that pic, the closeup of the PCI-E graphics shows the CMOS reset jumper on the Asus, right next to the edge card connector.
for people that do a fair amount of OC'ing, that seems like a REAL pain in the wazoo.

a year ago the asus P5GD2 was one of the top rated Intel OC'ers.

P5LD got decent reviews & it's in that price range.
i've tried that. it is fun. i did get electrocuted, with 120 VAC. now i am more cautious.
if you do things wrong and the thing smokes when you're not home, your hobby could become mighty expensive mighty quick.

i need to be able to carry it on an airplane.
but not with that power supply, i wouldn't do OC...
once we used a $5000 fan to cool a 1 kW radar amplifier.
yes, it did suck. like, don't get too near the intake vent. unless you're a woman & you're wearing a dress (marilyn monroe reference).
the fan was 4 inches in diameter.
the chief engineer got so pissed off he had me transferred...
did the same thing with an Abit IC7 Max 3 with a 3.0 GHz P4. took me about a half hour to notice the problem. runs OK now but will not OC 10% so i leave it at 3.0.
