My system: Windows XP, Amd 4200 x2, 2gb ram, Geforce 8800gts, and my current HDTV/Monitor - Olevia Syntax LT26HVE.
The monitor supports a max resolution of 1280x1024, however I am running it in a widescreen resolution 1280x720, which looks fine. The problem I'm having is when I want to play...
Nevermind, I figured it out. I had to enable the virtual floppy disk in the bios (asus a8n5x) for some reason. It really makes no sense but that does it.
I'm just getting into overclocking my amd 4200 x2 , i've been increased the cpu frequency to 216mhz, and yet cpuz doesnt recognize it and states im still at 201.5mhz? Im not sure why.
Recently Windows XP refused to load, it would just reset at the loading screen. It would flash a blue screen but I couldnt make out what it said. I tried putting in my windows installtion disk to see if I could repair it, and it gave no such options. So basically I ended up formating the hard...
Im using 2 self-powered logitech speakers for the front which work well, and i want to use some passive speakers (from an old surround sound system) for the rear/center/sub speakers. The problem im having is that the passive speakers have a VERY low volume, thats barely audiable. I dont know why...
Right now with the stock fan im getting 40c idle and 55-60c load. Any recommendations for a cooler thats not over $30? I want to overclock but i cant go too far past 2.30ghz before i get an error in prime95, probably due to the temperature.
Thats good, cause i play mostly FPS, with exception of a few strategies, like company of heroes. Also i dont do any multitasking when playing games. I just notice most people have 2gb systems, i think im gonna hold off till i can get some more money together.
I decided to return my 2x512 ram i bought from crucial, I didnt see any performance gain in any of the games i played or in 3dmark. At all..... I think having it running in T2 effected its performance or something... I think im just gonna buy a new graphics card right now. Im think of getting...
I'm getting about 55-60 running prime95 on stock settings. I recently got into overclocking my cpu, and gradually increased the bus to 216mhz where i got a fatal error in prime95. The temperature may be about 1-2 degrees higher, if that. Anything under 216mhz i dont get any errors, and I've ran...
I probably should have gotten 2x1gb for better perfomance but since i already had 2x512, getting another 2x512 was the cheaper option. I actually have the 6800gs, the highest i've seen them scored is around 5000. I have been overclocking mine, ive actually managed to get it up close to 3000. I...
Well I changed it, everything seems to be running fine, i've ran prime95 for a couple of hours, no problems so far. I ran 3dmark06, got the same score i was getting, 2889, not sure if that means anything.
