I had the exact same thing happen as well. It turns out I was using a PCI ATA card and either the card was bad or the cable, but I chucked them both. I did a scan and it found all of the correct movies and works fine to this day.
I run my HTPC with a 54g connection and don't even notice. I run mostly divx movies with 5.1 AC3 audio. I also run DVD's when I haven't had a chance to rip them yet and they work flawless as well. I get 4 bars all the time since I added a cheap $10 antenna from newegg. I haven't tried any HD...
I had the same problem a year or so ago. I can't remember where I found the .iso, but I did eventually download it. PM me and I can send you the .iso.

I just got one yesterday and love it. I did a ton of research before buying and there are many threads about the headphone jack issue. Go to creative.com and check out their discussion boards. If within 90 days, you can send it to creative to get it fixed for free. They have been doing those...
They are basically the same, but the Cat 6 is better quality and operates at a higher frequency. All of your other equipment will work just fine with either one. Gigabit speeds work just fine with Cat 5e, so unless the price is about the same, you could save money and go with cat 5e. My .02...
I just tried going headless on my old Intel 820 motherboard and it worked as well. So, far, I haven't heard of an Intel chipset based motherboard that this doesn't work on. I don't have anything older than this machine, but most people are running faster machines than a 800 MHz machine anyway...
Just to clarify my earlier post. Neither of my machines have either onboard video or a video card. I had a video card in it to install windows and set it up, but just took the card out and booted it.
Also, as I said, Windows 2000 would not allow either machine to boot and the only windows...
I currently run 2 headless computers, one running Windows 2003 server and one with Windows XP. And yes, it does matter what OS you have. Anything before Windows XP will not boot. Any motherboard in the past 3-4 years should handle it just fine.
And no, I don't have server boards either...

I just built a s939 system that had a 24 pin ATX and my PSU only had a 20 pin ATX. Before I did anything stupid, i looked in the manual and it shows to leave 2 pins on each side so the 20 pin plug does right in the middle. So, he probably has the same thing. This was a MSI board.
