    I remember reading about that too. Not everyone had the issue. It's not an issue intrinsic to IPS panel technology. I never contested any of that.     I didn't say IPS didn't have its deficiencies either. LCDs are all about compromises. We were talking about color. TN panels have documented color shifting issues. On IPS panels you get black level shifting rather than color shifting.

    I know trimming is considered ok by many people but I still don't like it. Their claws are an integral part with how they interact with objects and especially move around(jumping to high places they'll often use their claws to get a good hold), I don't like impairing them in any way.

    CRT HDTVs are fine as they display 480i and 480p natively. I would recommend staying away from Samsung's CRT HDTVs as they have terrible geometry.

    You're going to want to get a TV CRT. If possible get a Trinitron.
