Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Wow thats concerning considering my 9800 GTX just arrived today. I upgraded from a 8800 GT as well. I'm sure something is wrong, I hope it's not your card. Which MB and PS do you have? I'm going to install mine tonight, I'll let you know if I have similar problems. I have not run Vista on...
I was going to loose my setup, so I selected the 9800 GTX just for the fact that it was $200 cheaper than the 8800 GTX, maybe not as fast (close enough I won't notice) cooler running and less power... but overall it was the $200 difference!
When you pay little you get little. Get the best card you can afford you will thank yourself later...I mean how much is $30-$80 these days " A TANK OF FREAKIN GAS"
The GX2 is 10.5" same as the 8800 GTX so the 9800 GTX is 1.5" shorter. This as I said is according to EVGA spec sheet for each card. Height is the same on all 3 cards.
Man I can't remember what the VIC 20 or Commodore 64 had in them:D
My first real card was maybe matrox or cirrus logic SVGA PCI card w 1MB or something like that.Man I can't remember now I'm really curious what I had exactly. Anyone know where I can find a graphics card time line listed by...
$50.00 for a Corsair, who cares how long it lasts. You will spend more money in a week on crap you don't really need which more than justifys the Corsair purchase. I have a Corsair 520HX paid $100 for.....its just as strong as the day I got it.
Well I choose not to Bypass....actually my Step-up was about to expire so I took the plunge. Going to an almost top of line card for $50 really not much to think about. Going from a 8800 GT 512mb to a 9800GTX I should see all my setting up higher than they are now... If I could just get off...
