Hi
I recently bought an ASUS A8V-VM SE motherboard for my x2 3800+ 939. It was the only matx 939 motherboard in stock for miles so I had little choice. However if I knew it had overclocking options disabled in the BIOS I would have given it a pass.
Can anyone suggest a way to overclock...
Its only necessary if you have the front I/O breakout box like the Fatal1ty X-Fi FPS or the external box with the X-Fi Elite Pro. I have the X-Fi Elite Pro, the card runs fine without the connector but the external box wont work.
So for a X-Fi Extreme Music without the breakout box the...
I got the TJ-08 and i tell you... You can fit 2 8800GTXs, 2x 120mm Radiators a decently sized PSU and much more!
Not exactly 'small' but its smaller then normal, easier to carry to LANs then ATX PCs etc.
If i was using the board in a HTPC setup I'm unlikely to require a S/PDIF in, probably why it was removed.
Whoooooowheeee, a local store (in the UK here) is selling the Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD in 4 days. The strange thing is they are showing the iT-90HD picture, specs say it has one optical out...
I have been using those in my system for years now, no problem. My educated guess; they are too small to harbour a charge strong enough to damage components. Besides, what in your PC is able to generate a static charge with those straps?
Oh yeah, i forgot to add. They were all done without a graphics card, i don't know why i included my 8800GTS.
I can afford to replace a £40 motherboard but not a £280 graphics card  .
