    That is very good to know. Thank you very much. Like I said this a temporary setup and we where planning on getting a Microsoft server in a month but that really makes me reconsider.

    sMy bad. SMB connections and the clients will be updating a common file on the drive so the data flow will not be constant as with a stream or anything. We experienced a message today however stating that "The maximum number of users accessing this drive has been met."

    I have a temporary setup that has a headless PC with a SATA drive in it shared to several clients on the network. How many connections can be made to the drive at once (Direct connections, not through software) before we encounter problems? Is there a maximum limit?
