I will just have to use an addon card if I want to use them all. You are correct.
Right now:
M.2 slots 1 & 2 have a 970 EVO and the 950 Pro.
SATA Ports 1,2,3 - Samsung 960/970 EVO SSDS
SATA Ports 4/5 - 2 TB WD Black and 1TB WD Black
So my 970 EVO Plus is the odd man out at this point...

Yes. So when I populate the third slot it disables my spin drives due to the slot being used which is expected. However, I do not detect the nvme drive in that slot. The nvme drive works fine if I put it in any of the other two slots, etc. It is very specific to that last slot...
Hi all,
Been a while since I have been on the forums. I have been in contact with Gigabyte about the issue below, but what I can't seem to get out of them is an answer to my PCI lane question. I have followed the manual which indicates when I populate certain slows, sata ports XYZ become...
I will have to agree with the users above. If you have two (2) 780s now, I would jump towards a 1080. Now, I'm not sure the market really fell with the used 1080s with the release of the 1070TI as I see quite a few on reddit for around $475 to $500. At that point just go new. I have linked...
That was the one. Thank you for the link. I did see the mod, didn't think it was worth it at this point to mod it and put more money into it. I setup a refund with EK since it was under warranty still. I did try to get them to send me the 3.2 but that didn't seem to work.
With that in mind...
Hello All,
I am looking at putting and Alphacool Eisbaer 360 AIO into my rig and was curious as to your thoughts on this particular cooler in comparison to the Fractal Celsius for the TT 3.0 360. I recently had the pump and such fail on my Predator 360 from EK in which I cannot get a new pump...
A second 1080Ti would benefit for sure in a games that has an sli profile or if a custom profile is available there not doubt about that. I know for me, originally I went TI sli, but the issues I was encountering far out weighed the benefits. This was either the lack of support (i.e zero (0)...
I too will probably hang on to my 1080TI for more than a year this time around. After going from 980-980TI-1080 Classified-1080TI I think it might be time to wait for a bigger improvement. (i.e. hbm on an nVidia card). I'm not too sure that the first iteration of voltas architecture will be...
I had been testing several of MSI's RX400 series cards, albeit not the 1080TI, but never the less they are very similar. The cards are well built and the coolers seem to work quite well. I do think the nVidia variants are bit more solid, but I can't really knock either of them.

Thanks for your input. We ended up fixing it. The VM (the install of Windows in particular) was beyond repair. We were able to rebuild our exchange server in a new VM and migrate the database over via repair and salvage all of our data. We are now going to set up a new type of...
For my gaming testing, I used the In game for Tomb Raider only. I played through a missions on Metro Last Light and Battlefield 1 to get an idea of how the performance was. They seemed generally the same, like I said within a few FPS but nothing to write home about. Like tangoseal made...
Hello everyone,
Looking to get some help with one of my VM's currently running on Server 2012 R2. Sometime early yesterday morning (Saturday morning) my Exch VM crashed and got stuck in a reboot loop. Everytime it would try to boot into its install of Server 2012 R2, it would bsod indicating...
Hello everyone,
New to the forum. I had been doing testing between my 5820K clocked at 4.4ghz at the moment against an R7 1800X clocked at 3.9ghz I had picked up from my local Microcenter. With that said, I was curious as to others findings against those two CPUs. Just to throw to get this...
If the issue does start again, you could always throw your 970 back in and just see if the issue persists. Based on your description of the problem and the fact that when you first booted the machine it indicated your PCI-E power cables weren't connected is probably a good indication of a cable...
