    Thanks for the help everybody. New cable modem = perfect. speedtest scores are now 6332 downstream, 312 upstream. Still seems low compared to others, but SO much better than it was :)

    Thanks again for the replies. No OCing, everythings at stock settings. As for who said the comment about their coolermaster psu doing the same thing.. these are pricey power supplies to be having issues like that! :eek: Is this common??

    The power supply is a cooler master 600w. I checked all of the fans and they seem to be doing ok. As suggested, I ran the system with the side panels off and it still does the same thing. Processor temps top out at 42C, motherboard @ around 41C. Really appreciate the responses so far...
