Update: I found in the Netgear forums that newer firmware versions have been causing problems, so I did a reset and flashed an older version of the firmware that was known to be stable. I'm now getting the full speed through to my PC.

My system has been unable to update Win10 for over a year now. It goes through the steps but fails ever time. Any suggestions on how to figure out why?

I posted this under Displays as well and it has been resolved. I rebooted using just the DisplayPort monitor and it was detected. Then I plugged in the DVI monitor and it was also detected. I then rebooted and both are detected, so all is well.

I thought I had tried this, but I went ahead and tried again. The second monitor works (DisplayPort). I then plugged the first monitor (DVI) in and it was immediately recognized. I crossed my fingers and rebooted and all is well (knock on wood). Thanks!

Device manager just shows the one generic PnP monitor under Monitors. No errors shown. What do you mean by right input? The connections are the same as they've always been and are solid.

The camcorder is 15 years old so the video is in SD. I bought a firewire card (~$20) and used Sony's software to download the video as AVI files, which I plan to convert to MP4 using Movavi unless anyone has recommendations for better software or a preferable file format.

I suggest you talk to some people who have had their identities stolen and ask them how easy it was to clean up the mess. Some have said it was the worst experience of their lives. Do some Google searches, it can really disrupt your life. Anyone who knows anything about the credit reporting...

That link appears to have resolved the problem, though I don't know if it's going to lead to other problems by disabling it... Task Scheduler > Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Office and found and disabled "OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration"
