Is it possible to use Creative DSP while using S/PDIF out? (SBZ)

I think what I was thinking of specifically was CMSS-3D (I vaguely remember it now from my days of owning X-Fi cards but just completely eluded me until I finally stuck the right search terms into Google). So that's only available over Dolby/DTS etc.? After some googling it seems it was renamed...

Is it possible to use Creative DSP while using S/PDIF out? (SBZ)

I finally did hear back from Creative support, this is what they said: I'm not 100% certain if "digital audio effects" = DSP (heck I'm still unsure of how much and in what ways of a difference DSP even makes for gaming purposes), but using that option to enable stereo mix to the digital output...

Is it possible to use Creative DSP while using S/PDIF out? (SBZ)

Any chance there any sound cards that will? Or is Creative DSP something I'll even particularly miss during gaming sessions? (Particularly with headphones, but with 2.1 as well)

Is it possible to use Creative DSP while using S/PDIF out? (SBZ)

I bought a Schiit stack recently, but from what I can tell, when I use optical out on my Sound Blaster Z (Win 10) it just passes the sound through, because I'm no longer able to control the audio at all with the SBZ control panel. I'm not actually positive if this means the card is no longer...

    Spectre x360 13t/Yoga 920 or wait for 8700HQ?

I've been debating getting one of these for the last week or so, reading as much information as I can find about both of them. Basically looking for an ultraportable 2-in-1 with a decent keyboard and build quality. I've checked them both out in person and they both appear to be pretty much right...

Importance of sticking to QVL lists with Ryzen?

Well, that answers my question pretty nicely then, thanks. Besides video editing I'll be doing a fair bit of multitasking (managing websites and client lists etc.) but nothing I imagine I'd notice a difference having faster RAM with.

Importance of sticking to QVL lists with Ryzen?

From what I can gather the G.Skill DDR4-3200 cas 14 sticks are non-Flare X / Fortis memory known for having Ryzen compatibility, but at $350 the cost is pretty insane. I wish I could find a decent compromise probably around DDR4-3000 cas 15 that's on any of the QVL lists or at least known to be...

Importance of sticking to QVL lists with Ryzen?

Yeah, filling all the DIMM slots is never my first choice, but I thought it might be a little less worrisome since (I forgot to mention) I won't be OC'ing this rig given its going to be a machine for the office. Still, I'll do my best to avoid it. I haven't seen any Flare X in 32GB kits faster...

Importance of sticking to QVL lists with Ryzen?

Building a video editing (Premiere Pro) rig for the office, having trouble narrowing down RAM selection. Likely looking at getting one of the MSI B350 boards (B350 Gaming Pro or Tomahawk) or the Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming because of their support for higher rated RAM speeds. However, the QVL list...

HiVi D1080-IV worthwhile upgrade from Klipsch Promedias?

For some strange reason I've never been a huge fan of bass, but yeah, if I decide I do want a sub I can add one later. Someone on Head-Fi also brought these to my attention. Supposedly they would be better than the Swans if I do wind up getting an amp with pre-outs.

HiVi D1080-IV worthwhile upgrade from Klipsch Promedias?

Just discovered HiVi and Audioengine brands - never realized there were companies that actually made higher end powered satellite speakers. So it got me interested in finally upgrading from my Klipsch Promedias (note that the sub isn't really that important for me). I have a Sound Blaster Z...

    6700K OC - high temps?

I really did that just as an experiment, I was curious what the difference in temps would be between LLC 5 and 6. It's pretty huge. Now I know I at least have some headroom to raise the vcore.

    6700K OC - high temps?

Well, I tried going down to LLC 5, but P95 blend failed within 1-2 minutes (even if P95 is overkill for stress testing, I'd say that's a bad sign). So instead of raising LLC back up to 6 I tried 1.35V with the same results. Raised LLC back up to 6 and P95 ran for 30 minutes before encountering...

    6700K OC - high temps?

You're right, I read the description in the BIOS backwards. I thought it was odd that 1 would be the max. What would be a more appropriate average LLC for these chips? Many of the recommendations I found for ASUS boards recommended 5-6, which is actually what led me to trying 6.
