high cpu temp in spite of water cooling

Core temp is right correct? I am not fooling myself into having the problem "fixed" am I?

high cpu temp in spite of water cooling

I am going to order a temperature probe, that will at least tell me if the temperature levels are doing the same thing. The thing that makes me think that maybe this isn't a mounting issue is that the CPU still stays below the temp of the GPU. If it wasn't connecting well with the waterblock it...

high cpu temp in spite of water cooling

Alright well, I just upgraded my video card and motherboard. (6800gt => 8800gtx, ASUS A8V => EPOX nforce 4). So I have a water cooling system with a big heatercore and 2 fans on it. However after starting my computer, the cpu temperature slowly rises (over the coarse of 5-10 minutes) to 55...

    screwed up motherboard install

I can't get into safe mode either, it just fails to load something and crashes. There is a way to do a reinstall of windows without losing any settings isnt' there? Edit: so I am installing windows over my old windows....we'll see what happens

    screwed up motherboard install

So I have 2 sata drives with windows on one and the other is storage. Well I installed a new motherboard but I neglected to install the appropriate windows sata drivers before swapping motherboards. The windows install does recognize the disks, but I still can't get into windows (bsod). Does...

    Sad story....the MCP655 Pump that couldn't...

4 pin molex's have 4 wires on them. The middle wires are black (ground), then the two outside cables are yellow (+5v) and red (+12v). The problem is that alot of the mcp655 pumps have only 2 wires on their molex and their red cable matches up with your computers' yellow cable meaning that you...

    Sad story....the MCP655 Pump that couldn't...

I ran my pump on +5v for a while. Was a just lucky? Is it necessary to perform the switch to 12V?

Don't know what to add to my watercooling

umm de-ionized is better than distilled I believe. The point of the distillation is to get rid of impurities which are floating around. Usually when stuff floats around in water it is in the form of an ion Na+, Pb- or whatever. De-ionization takes it even further. Theoretically de-ionized water...

    clean my WC loop

you don't think it could be mildew do you? I am using zerex coolant which I believe is just basically a form of anti-freeze (although it is redish). Should I add something else to prevent such buildup? edit: coat hanger worked, now I am just sort of looking for the cause.

    clean my WC loop

I have completely disassembled my loop and I decided to submerge most of the parts to clean then in distilled water. Strangely I have noticed that all the of tubes have a white-ish residue on the inside, that isn't coming out. What should I do? Should I buy new tubing, or try something to clean...

what to do with a wet video card

I would stay away form all chemicals, and as others mentioned rinse it off. Given that most of those coolants are supposed to make the water less electically conductive you may be ok to try it without rinsing...but I don't know if I would take the risk.

    clean my WC loop

complete disassembly or just run a couple gallons of fresh distilled water through?

    clean my WC loop

Well I built mine myself, so I don't really have anything but the manual for the pump. Should I just syphon distilled water through or should I take all the connections off and clean each separately?

    clean my WC loop

How often should empty out my water cooling system and clean out the tubes? Also, how should I go about this if I need to do it?
