• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

  • It all depends on many factors after a throughly diagnostics is performed on the unit...

For instance, these are faults that will require CRT replacement...

    A) CRTs with low emissions,
    B) CRTs with bad gun(s),
    C) CRT with H-K shorts.

These are the most critical functional issues that will require CRT replacement. Anything else such as FBT, HOT, PSU, or any faulty boards, can be easily fixed economically.

"Dying" CRT can be rejuvenated but provided that the CRT is healthy and free of the faults stated above. Please keep in mind that not all repair outfits are equipped to perform specialized CRT repairs.

In many cases, it is more economically viable to consider purchasing a newer unit, and keeping the existing unit as a source for parts. We have units in stock with less than 3,000 hours of use, and some with less than 500 hours of use, but they are not cheap.

    Hope this helps...

    UV!
