Two Worlds is the best computer game/RPG I've played in some time

Now this game looks bad ass. I'll be getting it for sure. Maybe not right at release, but it's on my "to play" list.

    What drivers should I use?

I have an XFX 7600 GT and am running Win XP Pro x64. The drivers I am using haven't been updated since November 06, and I was wondering if some of the newer XP drivers or Vista drivers would work better in my system? Here is what prompted me to ask this. I ran a 3dmark benchmark, and...

    Are console really cheaper?

I think it just depends on the person. This PC I am on I: got maybe 600 bucks in. Less than 300 if you count what I made off my old parts on ebay. My Wii - I got 250 for the system 40+20 for extra controller and nunchuk and I got like 4 games or so, so thats another 200 bucks...

No need to apologize, you're helping me out. Besides, you aren't writing the software. Regardless, thanks. The link with the list still helps me a great deal.

Great links Zen, thanks. Edit: Help me out here, is there a version of Vista hardware compatibility tool that runs on a 64 bit os? I was unable to find it on the website.

Checking driver support before switching OS's

From what I've read, most of the problems people encounter with Vista are driver and support issues. So before switching, are you checking all your hardware manufacturer websites to make sure that they have vista drivers out? Or is it Vista drivers are being supplied and there are still...

    Linux Gaming

I'm downloading the 64 bit version of Ubuntu right now, and this was a question that I had. I am going to dual boot, and probably try and use Linux for everything other than games. I haven't used Linux before so this is just going to be a learning experience. The question I do have about...

    Skipping DDR2

I just made the jump to DDR 2 a week and a half ago and am happy with it. I don't need the best that is out, and I really feel based on the games I am intending to play and the apps I intend to run. I got the computer I will be using for the next year and a half.

In need of a good MMO

I've went through a laundry list of MMO's like yourself, until I landed on DDO, and even it took a while to stick. I got it shortly after launch, played for a few months and then kind of petered out. I picked it back up for a few months, and then done the same thing. Now in January I started...

    Best HL2 package to get?

I just got Half Life 2, and am pretty out of touch with the FPS genre. Should I go ahead and get Counter Strike, or will the Deathmatch be enough? Any mods, tips or tricks you could suggest would be welcome as well.

    Suggest a P2P program.

Earlier my gf asked me to install Kazaa on my system for her. Now I have no p2p software at all on here, and am a wary of putting something unknown on my computer. Is Kazaa the best option as far as for use and lack of spyware, etc, or should I try something else? TIA

Netevent.dll Error causing slow boot up.

Thanks for the help guys, it looks like we got it fixed. I reinstalled my video drivers and my nforce drivers. The one thing that I did differently, from when I installed these drivers the other day was this time I let the Nforce drivers install Nvidia's Network Access Manager. I didn't...

Netevent.dll Error causing slow boot up.

As far as I can tell those are the newest drivers available from Nvidia. I do however have Ntune installed, think that might be an issue? I just built this computer monday, so it is a fresh install of Windows. Do you think I should still try that? I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Netevent.dll Error causing slow boot up.

I am running WIn XP Pro 64 bit, and it seems my nvidia drivers are causing a system error upon bootup, and it hangs my system for around 30-45 seconds before my taskbar shows up. I am running the 64 bit version of Nvidia's 93.71 driver. Here is the info from event viewer. Event Type: Error...
