isn't shield just a smart streaming device? can it play local stored .mp3, .mkv or video files? or display .jpg or access eternal SSD for stored files. what about VLC player
i thought about intel nuc, but i have some leftover M.2, so i only need a cheap psu + case. so buying a intel nuc seem waste. i also prefer at least 11 gen intel, and those still over $500+
can intel nuc handle streaming video, 4k video playback, etc was thinking getting one for HTPC. also i'm assuming i can use HDMI to pass audio to my receiver?

ok thanks, just checking, my PSU still has few 8 pin connector label (cpu/pcie), i just dont have the 8pin gpu cable, ill just buy a 8pin gpu cable then.
i notice 6900xt require 3x 8pin pcie connector, my PSU only have 2 x (6pin+2) connector and 4x4 cpu and few 6 pin PCIE connector, is it ok to connect 4x4 cpu or 6 pin connector to the 3rd 6900xt power connectors?
