isn't shield just a smart streaming device? can it play local stored .mp3, .mkv or video files? or display .jpg or access eternal SSD for stored files. what about VLC player

i thought about intel nuc, but i have some leftover M.2, so i only need a cheap psu + case. so buying a intel nuc seem waste. i also prefer at least 11 gen intel, and those still over $500+

can intel nuc handle streaming video, 4k video playback, etc was thinking getting one for HTPC. also i'm assuming i can use HDMI to pass audio to my receiver? also is it wifi capable or i need a usb wifi adapter?

what i mean is the 2x4pin=8pin power connector. its like the 6+2 except its 4+4 split <- the connector at the psu side is 8 pin
