Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hey just to be clear, the board doesn't post at all. I get not initialization of the display and no system beeps. I went to Circuit City and they said that the hard drive was intact. I swapped the motherboard and got a post with the same PSU, memory, hard drive, and graphics card so it has to be...
Hey, what I would recommend is going to circuit city. Get one of their ridiculously priced PSUs, go home, test it out, and return it the same or next day. That's what I did today to troubleshoot my seemingly dead motherboard. I feel your pain man, hang in there.
Hey guys,
So I replaced the power supply and the memory, both are brand new, and I'm getting the same problem. No initiation of the display and the HDD activity light is a constant red and not blinking. I've ruled out the video card, as I've said before, because I tried hooking everything up...
I'm thinking it's the case because I got the same problem using a different motherboard. My question is, what could be broken on the case to cause this problem?
To the second response, yes I removed that part on my own, it didn't break off by itself. Also, what front headers are you referring to?
Hey everyone,
Well here is my issue. Yesterday my mother was cleaning my room and managed to strike the side of my PC case which happened to have a side USB port where my mouse was plugged in. When she struck the side of the case the USB port was damaged. Just to make this clear, this USB...
Hey everyone,
So my PC was running fine this morning until I returned from a brief jog only to find my computer not working. What happened was my housekeeper was cleaning my office and managed to knock the USB mouse out of it's port (side case connector) and in doing so destroyed that USB...
So coretemp is telling me my two cores are idling at around 30c. When I run OCCT after 5 minutes those temps are hitting close to 60c. All my settings are stock as well as my heatsink. Should I stay away from overclocking given that the temps after 5 minutes under full load in OCCT are hitting...
Okay, so I have 2 gigs of ddr2 667 memory using XP Pro 32 bit. I do quite a bit of gaming and have some extra Christmas cash laying around. Would an extra gig of memory make a huge difference in the performance of my rig?
So I have an X2 5200 on an asus m2nsli deluxe motherboard with 2 gigs of pqi turbo ddr2 memory. My graphics card is an 8800 GTS. FSP 450 WATT PSU
Hoping that I can use my current memory in a Core 2 setup what kind of processor/motherboard pairing would improve performance in gaming considerably...
That x2 3800 is much less powerful than the 6850, now throw something like an x2 5600 or 6000 in there and the disparity gap in performance would surely close.
I admit, my knowledge of AMDs history is pretty limited so I never maintain a position that I know something definite about AMDs future. I do own an AM2 based system that I really like, currently own an a64 3800+ orleans, I'll be upgrading to an X2 5200 with that 2MB L2 cache, it's a whole lot...
I am currently undergoing an upgrade via the eVGA StepUp program where you can update your card to a better performing card within 90 days of purchase. This is an amazing program and I feel eVGA should be applauded for thinking outside the box, it sure feels like they care about their customers.
This thread needs some spicing up, I think we should focus on the new processor and not arguing. How about performance, lets try and find some benchmarks on it.
