Chipset overheating? Or is something else going wrong?

Mmm, thanks for the quick response. Again, that's at idle. Gaming temps only raise the GPUs 10-12C in Bioshock Infinite, for example, and I rarely play anything remotely strenuous. Same for the CPU; it's always under 70C even running Prime95. The internal hard drives never go warmer...

Chipset overheating? Or is something else going wrong?

Hey guys, I'm currently running this: Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H Phenom II X6 1055T @ 3.2 (stock voltage) 2x Gigabyte HD6850 Antec HCG-750 750w Antec 300 case I'm experiencing heat within the case to the point that it's physically hot, not warm, to the touch. All internal components, including the...

HIS 6850--need new fan, HIS unhelpful

Hi, I bought an HIS 6850 1gb (Newegg link here) about a month and a half ago and the fan appears to have already burned out--I'm commuting to school at the moment and it's on under an hour a day. I was wondering if anyone has a good source for a fan? I don't really want to send it back to HIS...

Compaq A900 series -- screen cable type? Am I even on the right track?

Greetings y'all, I have a Compaq A931NR (Pentium Dual Core 1.73ghz, 3gb ram, 160gb drive, Intel X3100, 17" 1440x900, currently on 7 Professional) that I'm swapping a new CPU (Core 2 Duo T5750, 2ghz) into this weekend. I've also got a chip in the screen and have been considering swapping it...

    AT&T DSL issues--just me?

It's a 1701HG Gateway. It's not wiring, AT&T replaced the wiring in the house when we complained, and nothing's changed. Also, all computers except one are on wireless--no wiring there to worry about. Signal strength never goes below 80% on any of the computers.

    AT&T DSL issues--just me?

Unplugging the computer(from the wall, even--my mom is of the opinion that that actually ACCOMPLISHES something for the network)...does nothing. Network still randomly drops. It's an AT&T proprietary(read: 2WIRE) modem/wireless router. No logs that I can find and an extremely locked down...

    AT&T DSL issues--just me?

I'm having some extremely weird issues with AT&T/Yahoo DSL and was wondering whether I'm the only one with these issues, or whether it's widespread. Randomly, completely randomly, it just stalls out--any downloads I have running stop and crash. Internet is inaccessible for five to ten minutes...

Need suggestions for games playable on a 2400XT

Tried my brother's 20" iMac(2.0 C2D, 1.5gb DDR2, 2400XT 128mb, 1680x1050 res) with Source and it runs flawlessly, as does CoD2 and CoD4. UT2004 is epically awesome. You should be pretty well off. Crysis Warhead/Crysis stall out though.

    Ben Q V2400W, E2400HD, or Samsung 2443BW?

Just wanted to throw my two cents in... Just bought a G2400WD via Newegg for $289 shipped, and it arrived yesterday. Runs great, looks good, no dead or stuck pixels. Replacing two 19" Acers that have lived 24/7 for three years. You will need a video card for this sucker, though--my 1950PRO...

    Voltage at max, what now?

Hello all, I'm running an ASRock Dual939-SATA2 with an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego. I just checked into my BIOS, and I am at maximum voltage just to run the CPU. Is there any way I can overclock it without adding voltage that I don't have? Thanks in advance :)

Overclocking my AMD Athlon 64 3500+ venice

From previous experience, yes, it will. I haven't done it in a while, my newest mobo doesn't like me doing it...:(

    IS this PSU enough?

Unfortunately, this is the only PCI-E computer in the house :( It should not be overheating...the heatsink is warm to the touch, but not hot. And I even put a PCI slot fan unit in directly underneath, and now it's cold. The PSU is about a year old, and it appears to be working fine...and...

    IS this PSU enough?

Ok, didn't know that's what you meant. It used to randomly go blank, and come up with a message about VPU Recover. Now, I reinstalled Windows, and every once in a while the screen randomly goes black. When it does, I have to restart the computer, and when it boots, Windows pops up a message...
