yeah thats what it would be for. just plug the cable into that router that isnt hooked to anything. the amp will detect that it has an active connection, even though there is no internet, and should disable the wifi. then just hide the router.

the ethernet needs to be active. could also try making sure everything is plugged into the same socket/strip.

they are picking up the wifi signal. the change in pulsing when in wps mode is because its waiting to receive a pairing signal from another device. try shorter wires or putting a ferrite choke on them. if youve got any old vga cables kicking...

What brand is the hardware? A firewall rule could probably be all that is needed to block cloud access.

Tile bro , avoid ceramics like the plague. Tile and tempered glass don't mix at all. I know you said it was kids, but both times? Probably one of the plastics with tint if they're that destructive: plexi, acrylic, poly, etc. Slap some tint on.
