The excitement is palpable...
I do enjoy turn-based combat, but it looked very "meh" to me, and the fact that the thread had just 4 replies in over a year was a measure of the excitement around this game.as soon as they said 'turn-based' it was an instant pass for me
Kotor series was technically turn based. It can be done well. Hopefully this one won't be terrible.as soon as they said 'turn-based' it was an instant pass for me
One of the few times we can agree on something. Turn based, done well or not isn't for me.as soon as they said 'turn-based' it was an instant pass for me
Previews are out, game releases in a couple of weeks. 8/27 for PC and PS5/Xbone.

From the little I have seen it looks pretty linear. Like scripted missions and lame unit powers with little variation. I guess we will have to wait and see. I would pick it up just for the story, however, I can always just watch that on youtube.I haven't played the game but the previews make the tactical combat look a lot less interesting than Rogue Trader. Then the 3rd person walking-simulator part between missions makes think that it's just wasting my time anyway.
A score of "90" from PCGAMER and a "Strongly Recommended" from Skill Up.
Releases on Friday.
I know what I'm doing this weekend------hopefully playing a squad of Darth Mauls!!!
I generally tend to agree with PCGAMER's reviews, after I have actually played a game.I don't trust PCGAMER at all. SkillUp I trust quite a bit more but he's also had some pretty bad takes as well. Waiting for Steam Reviews.
That's a Devaronian.Well you can't make a Darth Maul guy.
But you can make some kind of horned guy. So.......this is Visco Hawk!

Solid graphics.
I'm playing with HDR on. So, these screenshots relied on Steam's auto conversion to SDR. The results may have lost a little quality. But overall, they look more/less pretty correct.
I capped it to 60fps with Rivatuner, using Front Edge Sync. 1440p DLSS Quality. I use DLSS Swapper to force 4.5 Preset M.
All settings maxed. My 5080 doesn't break a sweat.
Interesting-------I custom chose the orange-ish skin tone. Not knowing anything about Devaronians. And it looks like they often are portrayed with orange skin tones...huh!That's a Devaronian.
same, started it yesterday and had a crash to desktop in the first 3 hours.Lots of random crashing to desktop. and 1 hard freeze.
So used DDU on my Nvidia drivers, and isntalled the latest game ready driver. We'll see if that makes a difference.
I was having a crash about every 1-1.5 hours.same, started it yesterday and had a crash to desktop in the first 3 hours.
hopefully that doesnt happen too often. pretty frustrating having to save every 5mins, or redo 20mins of conversations and contracts
Any undervolts or overclocks active?getting constant crashes after 4 hours of playtime now, im talking once every 5-10mins.... guess i'll have to wait for a patch, what a fucking shame.
nope, everything running stock, havent changed anything.Any undervolts or overclocks active?
Disabling Curve Optimizer for Ryzen CPUs in the BIOS, fixed my crashing in Zero Company.
not on steam unfortunatelyupdate patch just happened
i got the 5800x, so benchmarking wise close to your 4790k i think?I'm tempted to get this just to see if it runs at all on a 4790k. I see it wants a 6 core minimum.
