Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
OK, after a few minutes of searching it seems that indeed transparency AA is problematic with some games, for example, Crysis: http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=365324#p365324.
So yeah, the question is answered. :)
Thanks for replying.
What does the game engine have to do with it? Are you saying that some engines won't allow transparency AA to be applied even though AA is enabled in-game and transparency AA enabled in Nvidia CP?
Btw, if a game does not support AA and AA is set to Application Controlled...
If I set "Antialiasing - Transparency" option to Multisampling or Supersampling, when exactly does it apply?
1. Game does not support AA or AA is turned off in-game. AA forced in Nvidia control panel.
2. AA turned on in-game. AA is set to "Application Controlled" in Nvidia control panel...
Indeed, I've heard of similar experiences from other people, but somehow I was a little sceptic about that, so I decided to ask here. I'm wondering that maybe the screen is not refreshed identically each time which makes the picture more blurry with higher refresh rates since the "imperfections"...
Just to emphasize - I'm interested about the effect of different refresh rates for the same resolution, not different resolutions. Say, 1280x960@85Hz vs 1280x960@120Hz.
Do higher refresh rates always produce blurrier picture than lower ones (at least in theory)? For example, does 85Hz produce sharper picture than, say, 120Hz? I'm not talking about color sharpness/vividness/contrast, I'm talking about general, "pixel" sharpness.
My CRT monitor (21'' Viewsonic P227fb, still a great one, one of the last good CRTs made) sometimes (very rarely) squeels (emits high-pitch noise) during the time its resolution changes (that is, while it's not displaying anything) but only when the system is cold booted and for a very short...
I haven't either, that's why I'm asking about it.
I hate manuals that don't explain ALL the options. No luck trying to find any useful info in the Intel docs either.
Edit: http://club.myce.com/f87/problem-dvr-212-sata-hangs-halts-every-5sec-224346/#post1853957 - the guy "Discoboy" does say the...
Options to disable individual SATA ports are available elsewhere (that is, outside of "AHCI Configuration" section). The "AHCI Configuration" section appears ONLY when SATA is set to AHCI operation mode, otherwise it's unavailable. I doubt you could disable the same port in two different...
When SATA is set to AHCI mode ("Configure SATA as [AHCI]"), is there a way to disable AHCI individually for each SATA port? I see that in "AHCI Configuration" section, there are 6 subsections (AHCI Port1 - AHCI Port6), each of which contain a corresponding SATA PortX option which can be set to...
I have the latest official driver version from Creative for my X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro sound card. However, I'm still getting the "WDM driver for Creative X-Fi Audio Processor" update offer in Windows Update under Hardware section. Why? Is it normal? Has anyone else noticed that? I myself can...
When I set SATA to AHCI mode, my SATA DVD drive generates "ATAPI Incompatible" error during POST. However, the drive is functioning absolutely fine in OS environment and BIOS detects it correctly. This error is not displayed if SATA mode is set to IDE.
I assume this error is not really a...
I'm just looking for an answer/comments on something I have observed - that performance sometime differs noticeably (even if the difference is small).
No, the user has no effect here. What effect could they possibly have on the time of completion of some long-running HDD diagnostic procedure...
