Hi,
I plan to upgrade my monitor to a dell or samsung 22".I will be most probably using
the (d-sub) vga output. I am able to play 1080p mkv files at ease through the onboard gma
3100 (intel g31 chipset), but at my previous monitor's native resolution ie 1024x768.
If I go ahead with the 22"...
There are faint vertical lines while watching some video files. I believe this maybe a driver/codec issue.
I am having a xfx HD4850 card.
Have any of you experienced the same..?
The monitor is not restarting its just going blank for a second .
The screen blinks only when I have the graphic card plugged irrespective of its resolution.
(The native resolution of the TV is 1360X768)
While using the onboard display..there is no blinking to suggest the lcd is indeed at...
Its been 3 months rma'ed cards back and forth..yet I am unable to resolve the issue.
Trouble is I can't really find whats wrong.
All of a sudden for no reason (no matter what am I doing surfing, watching movies..or just idle) the screen blinks (like when installing the display drivers for the...
I will be purchasing a XFX HD 4850(this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150337).
My main concern is that whether it will fit my antec NSK 2480 cabinet.I will have to remove my tv tuner card to accommodate it as it uses 2 slots.
I am having an antec EA 430 W PSU...
I just installed a xfx 9800 gt.At times for no reason .the screen goes blank for a few seconds and comes back up.It does not freeze or restart. I am using the latest drivers . Reinstalling windows didn't help either. The card idles at 49 c and goes to a max of about 65c.
Strange though the card...
I am using vga output.By default the screen postion @ 1360x768 is not centered on my TV.
My Lcd tv has native resolution of 1366x768. ati catalyst supports only 1360x768. hence to completely fill the screen I stretch the screen and move it to center and cover all 4 corners of the screen by...
Could the flickering be a symptom of a bad PSU..
I am of the belief that if the psu is faulty, there would be random reboots,crashes..bsods...
which is not the case here.
I changed the cable...yet there is flickering..trouble is its random it may not occur 9 out of 10 times I use the pc.I am not able to isolate the problem..unless I remove the gfx card and use on board graphics.
When it does flicker it usually starts after there is heavy GPU usage ..such as...
The vga cable I am using does not have a ferrite core ( cylinder behind the pin). Could that be a reason for the screen to flicker.I was using it for about 3-4 months with no probelm...
I will try getting a better quality cable..and test it..
what else could cause flickering..if not the card.
bad vga cable..checked
psu....doubt.that else there would be restarts ,bsods..etc etc
damaged pci slot...then there would be no display at all.
ram..i don't think so
the only way I can convince the reseller that the card maybe faulty is...
I have decided to the rma the card coz this is what happened again..even after cleaning all contacts etc etc.
I expect to get it replaced by a new one coz it was only 2.5 months old.
I have no reason to believe that the pci express slot could be faulty else there would be no display at all...
Do they replace the product with a new one ..coz my gfx will be 3 months old this sep 30. and motherboard and psu are 6 months old.
Assuming if the pci-express slot was damaged...it wouldn't work at all..it posts at times...and later if I touch any connection on the board (when the system is...
I am planning to dump my asus p5kpl-cm and go for this board..the only thing i am interested in is that it has pci express 16x 2.0.. is it worth...otherwise p5kpl-cm isn't a bad board either.
