A bit pricey for early access but not a bad release price for a highly wishlisted game. Sale is on until May 10th at least. I think I'll wait a few days to see how its going with customers and not just early access streamers.
Yet what really led to this problem being discovered or discussed was constant crashing while playing games and pre-caching shaders for games. Not stress tests like cinebench etc..
Yeah he's probably right. I remember when you got the GOTY edition from Steam, you had to go to the DLC page and install it manually cuz it didn't install with the rest.
Benefit of the GoG version is you can download the installers for the old version just in case.
I've never really played FO4 much, so I started up a game on Steam. It will be interesting to see the differences now. I didn't bother with the HD...

Interesting, I've not had any crashing lately, but following the advice above, I fired up "The Last of Us: Part 1" and let it do shader comp (haven't played this game since it first came out on PC, lol). Ran fine for a few minutes, all good...
so this is back in the news. (techspot) i guess last week Nvidia has a note in their driver release notes directing people with problems towards intel.

It's funny this is gaining traction now, but Tomshardware covered this just as thoroughly back in February, based on the Oodle complaints in December, and found these same conclusions.
I suppose though now that the YouTubers are jumping on board...
