Utterly I am happy with my particular 2405fpw, and I have had it since March.
It has zero dead pixels, and this was the only one I've owned. I went through 8 lcd monitors trying to get one without one for my 20" lcd quest. Then this 24" came out, and I wanted it instead. My 8th 20 inch...
the 2005fpw is a joke for most people if you care at all about backlight bleeding.
i got my 2405fpw today after ordering 3/11/05. it took forever to get to cali. no dead pixels, nada, nothing. it has no backlight bleeding either.
i'm happy. i don't know what peopl are saying about it...
I would make sure you know what you like: forward and bright, or more even, and accurate and not colored.
I am finding that I like Grado but not Sennheisers b/c I prefer forwardness, brightness, and supreme clarity, which being a little bright tends to give the illusion of, at least to me...
Hi Everyone,
I messed up. Please tell me what to buy so that I get it right this next time.
I own:
1. Klipsch 2.1, love it.
2. Bought Paradigm atoms and Sonic impact t-amp b/c I thought that was arguably the best sound for the buck around, which if I can't afford top-of-the line, then I...
Well thank you guys. I guess I now know the type of sound that I like: forward & bright.
I can sense the atoms are probably a nice piece of work. BUT, are they bright and forward? I keep hearing the atoms are so much better than the klipsch 2.1 and really anything in the $200 bookshelf...
I am crazy.
I bought the paradigm atoms and that sonic impact t-amp as the ultimate budget soundsystem for personal listening in a bedroom.
I also have the klipsch 2.1
When I first listened to klipsch 2.1, I was like "wow."
I am not impressed at all with the atoms or the sonic...
You should have no dead pixels. You paid for 1920x1200 pixels, not 1919 x 1198 or whatever. Some people could care less, but if you do notice it one day, esp when watching a movie in a dark room, it'll upset you.
I plan on exchanging and exchanging and exchanging until I get one without dead...
Very, very, very few people have perfect 2005fpw's. There are major manufacturing problems with this particular monitor. I gave up on it and am moving onto the 2405fpw.
Hi,
Unfortunately, Dell is not the company it once was. Your experience has been echoed by myself...wanting service tags and serial numbers for no good reason. Just idiotic. I have no idea why Dell is good for anything other than low prices. I have a thinkpad. The service is QUICK...
Best headphones I have heard are the SR-225 by Grado.
I have hd-650 by sennheiser and they are way comfy, but the sound is kinda subdued.
I much prefer B&W Speakers.
With headphones, buy once and get it right. You will want to upgrade and upgrade. With all the shipping costs and the...
The ATI HDTV wonder was a pain to get working, and unless you have an awesome antenna, you'll have to be adjusting it and holding it and babying it to get it to pick up all the channels you want. Seriously, I know.
ABC was good, NBC was iffy, CBS was nice, WB was tough.....And everytime I...
Ditto. Andy was supposedly the man to get it from, but he shot me down. A guy named Timothy Ness gave me the $860 deal. To all who haven't gotten on it yet, it's fine. The price ONLY goes down, and the deal will be going on all the time off the record. All this trouble only gets you at...
I have gone through 3 2005fpws......they all have backlighting issues. Or at least, almost all of them do. You might literally have to go through 10 of them. And that of course would take something like 2 months with all the shipping, and I am not sure if Dell would then not allow you to...
