I have the Kingston M-Series 160GB and have flashed it to the latest Intel firmware. Trim works fine as the Kingston M-Series are just rebadged Intel X25-M drives.

    Question regarding SSDs

I have done a quick search regarding my question but I haven't found anything. I just purchased a Kingston M Series 160GB (SNM225-S2/160GB) and currently use a WD 500GB hard drive for my OS and programs. Is it possible to take an image of the WD drive and transfer that to the new Kingston SSD...

    Pics of new 5870!!

Not to de-rail the thread but I've used the same keyboard for 3 years and have very minimal fading on some of the buttons. If yours are fading within 8 months then send it back and demand a new one.

    DOA build

If you have not connected an 8-pin connector to the motherboard the computer won't boot properly.Get a new power supply and you should be fine.

    Completely bemused. Need some input.

Yep. Two out of the three sticks come back as faulty. Ah well, once I get some new RAM these are going back for a refund.

    Completely bemused. Need some input.

Yes, I manually set the RAM to those settings (and adjusted a few others). But the system crashes when all 3 sticks are in. I'm running just one stick just now, and everything is smooth. So I presume either one or both the other sticks (that are not in the computer) are faulty, and that's what...

    Completely bemused. Need some input.

Well, done a clean install and it now boots into Windows. Was a little unstable, several BSODs and crashes. So I took out the RAM and left one stick in, now it's running perfectly. Very stable and fast. I guess it was down to the cheap RAM I purchased. Once I sell the extra i7 920 I'm buying...

Right, I will do a clean installation using the new computer and see if that resolves anything. I will get back to this thread later today. Thanks for the input so far.:)

I have reseated the CPU and powered on the motherboard using the power button on the actual board, and by shorting the switch pins. Just to confirm, the fans, hard drives, disk drives, etc come on. It's just there is no output to a monitor and the fan connected to the cpu fan connected does not...

    Help! Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 & i7 920 problems

Okay, thanks for the replies. With only the cpu connected to the motherboard, the problem still persists. I have tried all the possible RAM positions and reset the CMOS many times, to no avail. I get absolutely no output, no beeps, nothing on the screen, nothing. Looks like it's either a...
