Haswell-Based Surface Pro 2 Leaks Emerge

I don't think I'd have a problem with one of the "type" keyboards, but I'll agree that the touch keyboard leaves a bit to be desired. A friend has a 128GB Pro now and he retired his laptop already. Of course, he's using the type keyboard as well.

Haswell-Based Surface Pro 2 Leaks Emerge

I'm looking forward to this, honestly. I've held off on the first generation of Surface Pro, but I'm going to watch the second gen very closely. I need to replace my old laptop and I don't really want/need another one. Desktop and tablet are my future. I might even try to convince my company...

AMD Hawaii-based graphics cards to mass ship in October

That's going to have to be my next project I think. I have a Corsair H60 closed loop cooler for my CPU, but I've never tried water on my GPU.

    SSD life

Wow, that's good to know. I guess it's time for me to get off the fence then. I've had hard drives fail faster than that!

    SSD life

Yes, I've verified TRIM is enabled on my work laptop and I'm running Intel's toolbox.

    SSD life

I'm just curious if anyone out there has actually had an SSD die on them from writes? I've recently upgraded my work laptop with an SSD but I've been hesitant to do my home desktop, for the longevity issue. Or since this is the [H], maybe I should ask...has anyone actually kept the same SSD...

AMD Hawaii-based graphics cards to mass ship in October

My only questions are, price and timing of releases. When is the 9950 coming to market and how much will it be? Of course, no one knows...

    7870 XT?

$250 dollars happens to be my sweet spot. I still game on a single screen and only recently moved up to 1920x1200. This is shaping up to be my perfect card. Of course, we're only months away from seeing what the HD8000 series has to offer.

    7870 XT?

Sweet! I'll be checking daily...like I don't do that already!

    7870 XT?

According to Sapphire's product page, it will be 1536. I'm not sure where everyone got the 1280 that has been reported in many sites. I'm also liking that it will have 6GHz memory. Sapphire HD 7870 XT

    7870 XT?

I'm interested to see a review when this hits the streets. It sounds like it could be exactly what I need to ensure quality gaming at 1920x1200 for the next couple of years.

    Cannot connect to wireless network.

You wouldn't believe how common that is. I constantly deal with people who swear they are trying to login with their new password.

5870 owners - are you upgrading soon or waiting for 8 series or ...?

I'm running an HD 5850 and I've decided to wait for the 8000 series. I just upgraded to gaming at 1920x1200 and the 5850 is still pushing the games I play at acceptable levels, so I'm in no hurry.

Which card coming first ? HD 8970 or GTX-780 ?

I fit into this category. I'm still running an HD5850 and it's fine for the games I play at 1920x1200. I will upgrade once the 8000 series comes out. Then in another year I'll upgrade my processor/mobo/ram. That's just the most sane way to do it in my opinion.
