I am currently running an x570 Asus hero viii motherboard, 3950x with corsair dominator RGB ram.
Before overclocking the ram my cpu would probably have variables of 39-43c.
After overclocking ram to ranges of ~3000-3500mhz I noticed my CPU temps would rapidly jump between 40-55 in a matter...
I too thought about the egpu way with the 2080ti and somehow I winded up with a desktop rig and also an epgu haha. Convenience wise if you move around mobile the epgu + laptop combo is best, for me I thought to myself I would never really game on mobile anyway so I just winded up using a desktop...
So the question is if I don't overclock the 3950x and just undervolt. Also use 4x16gb or 2x32gb without overclocking the ram. Will there still be potential issues? Or for example the 3600mhz might face issues and run at 2933?
Still fairly new to case building in terms of overclocking, anyone happens to know the overclocking potential of this board? I assume not as great as atx variations but wanted to know.
I remember deciding on a motherboard that I wanted a mATX, because it will still have 4 ram slots. After constant sifting thru looking for a high-end mATX x570 which doesn't exist, I just gave up on that idea.
I am still on the verge of deciding between
- an ATX which uses 4 slots for ram, 4x...
Like the title says, does anyone use this combination, and if so do you have pictures to share of it? Are there any DBA sound levels increase because of the fan frames?
I was looking how the phanteks fan frames look on the noctua black fans.
For the ones that own one or the other which one would you go for if money doesn't fully matter.
I have been debating on the VIII Formula for the potential future custom looping, I don't plan on doing a custom loop yet but have thought about doing it in the future once I settle into a new...
