    Motherboards and 9800GX2

I am in the market for a new motherboard but an abit confused with what I can and cannot use. I have a GeForce 9800 GX2 so it only uses one PCI-e slot. First question: if I don't intend to go for a two card SLI config in the future, does that mean I can use my GX2 on any single PCI-e slot...

    PCp&c 510sli alternative?

As Ice would say you pay for what you get, I brought a PCP&C Sli model from the States into Nz, sure it was expensive, but cheaper than a cple of sticks of good quality Ram, and at least I know I shouldn't have any problems because of the Psu. It cost me about $430 Nz delivered.

Before I burn the house down

Hmmm High qual plug, I went to the Local electrical supplier and although it is heavy duty, it doesn't appear much different than normal plugs  . I notice the cable is rated for 15 amps which prob is why it is extra thick. Unfort the 15amp plugs available wont fit in normal socket, so I...

Before I burn the house down

Well Welcome to the land of Milk and Honey, Boss, hope you enjoy the life down Under :D, the reason I wanted to keep the power cord that came with the Psu was that it look like a good quality one, with heavy duty wire strands. Ice thanks for the Info, confirmed what I have managed to find...

Before I burn the house down

I have recently brought a PCP&C Psu, however it came with a US Plug, which wont fit in Nz Sockets, I just want to confirm, which wire is which, before I rewire a New Plug on. The wire colours are Black/ White and Green, which I presume are US coded  Nz wire colours are...

    Is Two better than One

I'm currently building a new Amd 939 Sli system, but am not sure what path to take with the memory. I will be getting 1 Gig, but should I go for One 1 Gig Dimm, or 2 x 512 ?? I appreciate the board will be Dual channel, but is there such a great gain to be had using 2 dimm's in Duel...

Thanks Ppl, I might have to try calling, but will have to check out the toll rates first, as down in New Zealand. So could be expensive :(

    New model anyone know of

Thanks Ice, for the tips, I see yr knowledge also extends to the rivaly between Nz and Aussie ;) I made the leap and ordered a PCP@C 510 Sli unit. As is often pointed out we can spend so much time and money on other components, yet resist the need to put in a quality Psu's. Hopefully it...

    New model anyone know of

I have been reading quite abit on the forums about the various Pros and Cons of a number of PSu's and have come down to the conclusion that good lvls on the 12V rail/rails is one of the main points to look for, (apart from Maker of course). All in all the Tagan TG480-U01 came up quite well...
