Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm not going to even attempt to search for eVGA, BFG, XFX in this forum. I'm shopping newegg right now and I have no idea which 8800GTX card to get. Which is the best performer and which has the best warranty?
I'm in dire need of a new PC. My AMD 3500 and vanilla 6800 cant run shit anymore. I finally have the cash to get the best of the best but I dont come across this much cash often. I'm in a real dilemma here. I know this is the AMD forum and a few AMD !!!!!!s may chime in and say wait, but I'm a...
I'm sure lots of people have this board. Could someone explain a little about the 1T 2T memory timings a little. I'm reading up on OC'ing my memory but some guides make references to ratios and what not that I can't seem to match in my bios.
Thanks
Ok, I got my chip up to 2.5GHZ with the following:
250
3x HT
10x Mult
1.4625 volts
I was fine for a while, did prime95 all night but today it's acting a little flakey.
What's the purpose of the 3x HT setting?
My bois says that I can only go up to 1.65 volts for vcore. How are people pushing...
Is this too much? Is there a hard limit documented? Got my rig to 2.5Ghz which is pretty good for me, but I'm wondering if my vcore setting is too much.. I'd hate to fry my cpu.
I'm dying to stress test my CPU overnight but I'm not sure what will happen if my PC locks up mid-stream while I'm sleeping.
Is there any harm to setting a risky overclock speed and having prime run unattended? if the PC locks, will it cuase any problems for my CPU if I'm not around to reboot...
Anyone know if this is something new or were we able to get this value before? Does it mean anything? I think if it's a true cap, then overclocking potential can be better determined.
Been playing with the Core Temp program and it says that my Venice 3500 has a TCaseMax of 55 degrees celcius. Now I'm afraid to let the chip get that hot as I just picked up a big ass CPU fan and wanted to do some overclocking. Even though I'm up to 2.4Ghz with 38deg temps, I'm afraid to get...
I'm looking to upgrade my vid card. I have a barebones 6800/128MB. This thing has a crappy fan/heatsink. I was suprised that it was actually a 6800. My old AGP 128MB/6800 had a bigger fan/HS and needed its own power. This PCIx variety seems lame. I cant compare performance becuase I got a new...
I strictly play racing simulations. I've always used nVidia for all my gaming needs but I'm finding that the image quality sucks bad. The track lines and curbs always appear aliased and jagged, even with tons of AA and AF. Speaking of AA, nVidia's implementation sucks. Will nVidia ever do...
