TCaseMax temp

Been playing with the Core Temp program and it says that my Venice 3500 has a TCaseMax of 55 degrees celcius. Now I'm afraid to let the chip get that hot as I just picked up a big ass CPU fan and wanted to do some overclocking. Even though I'm up to 2.4Ghz with 38deg temps, I'm afraid to get close to that magic 55 degrees. Even if I hit forty, I'm a little nervous of that temp being only 15 deg away from 55. Should I be scared?

Anyone know if this is something new or were we able to get this value before? Does it mean anything? I think if it's a true cap, then overclocking potential can be better determined.
