Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Understandable, not a lot of info for someone over the internet to assess... Since the last crash nothing has happened.
I think I will start to plan my next upgrade path just in case as this is most likely a failure of the mainboard somehow.
I don't have issues with temperature so I won't be able to get you that, the system has never seen critical temps, ever. Also none of the data suggested points to a temp issue specifically from what I can see - just a general failure of ALL MB sensors at the same time. Temp , voltage, VBATT...
Yes as I said, the 2nd log snippet is after the reboot and everything is working normal.
The first log is the history, not actual readings. Actual readings (which I didn't copy/paste during the failure) when the system fails is the second log but for everything is 0 volts, 0 RPM, zero...
So recently I've been experiencing random lock ups.... my server (ESXi) will just lock up and become unresponsive, except for the IPMI.
Checking the server thresholds and logs through the IPMI shows after the lock up shows all motherboard voltages are reading 0V... CPU, memory, etc, all sensors...
So last night one of my disks failed in my home lab/setup, after noticing I determined which drive it was, tried a few things.. nada... Server is off for now.
My current setup is as follows (yes I know it's not ideal, it was my first time playing with ZFS).
3x 2TB in Z1 and I have a 250GB...
I do run an LSI in IT mode for some of the disks, and I assume that It wouldn't matter which ports the disks are connected to as usual in this case when moving as I would then do as you say an passthrough the LSI controller.
Noted thanks! Moving the pools between them is a non-issue...
Gea (and others), I currently run a setup that I would like to consolidate.
One box is just running OpenIndiana + napp-it:
-Core i3, 32 GB Ram (non-ECC - yeah, yeah I know)
OS is running on 2x 320GB drives in mirror
Z1 array for main data store/shares
6x 2TB WD drives (split in two...
Alright so, fresh install of Windows Enterprise 8.1 on my desktop machine.
Connected PC to domain, logged in, drive mapping worked as it should.
Rebooted a few times after installing software that I normally install on my computers (from the same sources/locally from my file server, etc)...
Having a really strange issue, but don't know how to troubleshoot it..
I seem to have issues with my domain connection/authentication issues from my ZFS server.
The fix I have found this far is to remove the ZFS server from the domain/AD (move to WG) and then reconnect the ZFS server again...
Sorry for the late reply...
Domain mode, I actually have not tried to stop/start the SMB service. When it happens again (since my last post it has not) I will definitely try that and report back.
Gea,
sorry if this isn't the right place, but I've noticed that one in a while my FS will kill all SMB share access... It seems to happen randomly (either under heavy access for extended periods) or just after having the server on for a very long time (months).
I haven't been able to nail...
Just finished setting up my multi-monitor setup...
Upgraded from 2x 24" to 3 monitors by adding a QNIX 27" as my main monitor... Along with a 3x monitor stand from ebay (very happy with it) that can take up to 3x 28"
Changed around some of the lighting in the room, so this is how it is as...
Tried upgrading... same thing... it says I need a valid agreement or license.
Quite strange
On the bright side I was able to recover everything correctly and reset all the ACL's... so all my shares are working correctly once again. Just strange about the napp-it extension(s) not working...
I see what you mean about the tool in /user/bin as they works as expected... although I could have sworn previous to this I didn't have to specify the path to use them before.
That said, the napp-it issue is still there no matter what I try (acting like the PRO version is not active).
Any...
