I wonder if the screws didnt line up for that backplate to the mounting backet and when it was all tightened down at the factory, the whole body deformed? If you look closely, pcb has convex bend, while backplate has sort of "s" shape bend... -

AFAIK those big sockets are epoxied to the board not just soldered and nearly impossible to remove even by the OEMs. Huge die graphics cards are done the same way.

Rather than making cards just for the sake of it, I think it'd be cool if they made these cards and included them with the hardware they represented. So when you sell or throw out or whatever you do with your old hardware, you can keep the card...

I just have to ask... are the capacitor electrolytes that leaked out in that ceramic jar labeled "farts"? Eternity in a fart jar seems like an appropriate final resting place for early 2000s bad cap electrolytes.

Lurker here. Saw the Soyo board posted and man. I look at mine everytime I use my half-bathroom. AMD Athlon XP 2700+ in socket. The caps leaked out years ago.

I have a 775 socket H-IG41 it’s rev.1.1 board with E5800 that will not post. I’ve tried my ddr3 memory but nothing. Both board and processor for the cost of postage. HSF not included. If all these boards dont get taken i will be trashing them...
