HP DV4T-1000 HDMI to DVI flicker issues

It's a Westinghouse 42" 1080p LCD. Kinda old, but all my other computers can do 1080p no prob on it. I'm wondering if the HDMI to DVI converter is crap?

HP DV4T-1000 HDMI to DVI flicker issues

Aright, so I guess it's a bit of an odd setup, but I ordered an HDMI to DVI converter on monoprice so I could hook up my laptop to my KVM. Oddly enough, when the output is set at 1920x1080, I get a huge amount of flickering pixels. If I set to something normal, like 1024x768, everything is...

2 RAID 5 arrays on 3Ware 9650se...one is fast, other is slow?

I've got 2 RAID 5 arrays on a 3ware 9650se. Both are 4 drives arrays. Drives in the first array are 7200.11 seagates, while the drives in the 2nd array are 7200.12s. The first array gets about 125MB/s avg read in HDTune while the 2nd gets almost 3 times that. The only difference in the...

    DNS SRV Records

Aright, I think this is what I want to use to accomplish this... I have a VPS w/ 3 IPs. I want to be able to have 2 http servers (one for web, the other for svn) running on different ports and different IPs. How do I set up my DNS so I can hit svn.mydomain.com and it will autoforward to the...

Is this enough for 1080 H264 (mkv)?

wouldnt going analog not allow me to use TrueHD and all that jazz? I thought w/o the HDCP link the audio would be downsampled

Is this enough for 1080 H264 (mkv)?

Is this enough for 1080 H264 (mkv)?

about to pull the trigger on a new HTPC...first off, here are my goals: 1. Emulator box 2. 1080p MKV (almost always h264 video content...i think) 3. Stream music / other media (i'm assuming the 1080p mkvs are the most intensive) 4. Play blu-ray / hd-dvd discs 5. 7.1 sound (going to...

Turning computer into router...which route should i go (no pun intended)

Went w/ Untangle, and man, it's pretty cool. Just having a few issues w/ rules right now, but i can probably get it sorted out. It just seems like my torrents aren't as "stable" as they used to be...seems to drop out sometimes. I can't find whats being blocked, if anything, but I'll probably...

    Auzentech X-Fi Prelude...no sound w/o DDL?

If I turn off DDL I get no sound at all...no windows sounds, no mp3s...nothing. I'd like to be able to turn it off sometimes... Config: Auzentech X-Fi Prelude -> Optical Cable -> Onkyo TX-SR605 AV Receiver -> 5 speakers, 1 sub Vista Ultimate x64

Turning computer into router...which route should i go (no pun intended)

most of all i want something that is relatively easy to use. I have experience setting up Ciscos (barely), but I don't want anything close to that complicated

Turning computer into router...which route should i go (no pun intended)

Aright, first off...I tried pfSense, and it's a bit complicated (I could figure it out probably, but whatever)...heres the machine's specs: 2x Xeon 2.4ghz 2gb RDRAM (god damn rambus) 2x 80gb SCSI drives 10k rpm 4x Linksys Gigabit NICs So, I could stick w/ pfSense, try IPCOP or Untangle...

    pfSense questions

no but i want it to be. Wouldn't that make sense? Doesn't DMZ basically mean "everything wide open?"

    pfSense questions

yeah but it doesn't work. I run the XBL connection test and it fails at MTU. Maybe my config is weird? I have 4 NICs, only 3 in use. 1 in from my ISP, 2 out (one LAN, one DMZ). The XBox is plugged into the DMZ switch. It has a static IP of 192.168.2.1 and all the other settings it needs...
