HP DV4T-1000 HDMI to DVI flicker issues

Aright, so I guess it's a bit of an odd setup, but I ordered an HDMI to DVI converter on monoprice so I could hook up my laptop to my KVM. Oddly enough, when the output is set at 1920x1080, I get a huge amount of flickering pixels. If I set to something normal, like 1024x768, everything is fine. Ideas? I'm not even sure where to start.
 
What display are you hooking it up to? It sounds like the display is doing 720p and when you set it to 1920x1080 it is running it at 1080i, which will give you some flickering.
 
It's a Westinghouse 42" 1080p LCD. Kinda old, but all my other computers can do 1080p no prob on it. I'm wondering if the HDMI to DVI converter is crap?
