    Automate Dell iDrac IP's

Is there anyway to automate assigning iDrac IP addresses to dell servers? I have hundreds to setup and it would be easier if I can automate at least the network configuration part.

RAID build failure with different sized drives?

How would i change the time out on the drive? I don't see anything in the array configurator. And it is a SATA raid card and the drives are also SATA.

RAID build failure with different sized drives?

I have a spare Dell PowerVault 745n that works fine with the original identical 80gb drives. I am trying to use some random drives that I have so I can make a raid 5 array. I know that it will only use the smallest drives capacity in all the drives and that is fine. I have a 640GB, and 3 500GB...

    Backup and Restore file help

I moved to OSX a while back but made a backup of my files in windows 7 using the back up and restore program built in. I have moved that back up and restore file a couple of times through my OSX external hard drives since I only kept it as an archive in case SHTF and I need to have a...

    Apple TV

It works great for me along with using itunes as the media server backend. My only issue is that it does not play MKVs. I use subler on my mac to remux (not re encode like handbrake) my mkv's so that they can be in a mp4/m4v container which the apple tv will play.

    Post Your Mac Setup!

Its a 20" couldn't find a nice condition 23 around here and those tend to suffer from tinting issues. It was either the 20 or the 30. I plan on running 2 of them also it will be dual display again. I had 2 2012 Dell P2412H's before and the Cinema Display is way better. I've liked the design of...

Airport as a wireless router solution?

I think we already established what this router can and cannot do. "More better, and more professional" does not say anything about how a router functions compared to another. As far as I can tell the top 5 routers in the 150-200 range all function well with only slight difference in...

Airport as a wireless router solution?

I have the time capsule but for all router purposes it is exactly the same and it is great. It will do torrents all day long with no issues and works fine with windows 7. Only thing i wish it had was more advanced features like qos and other high end functions. But for a set it and forget it...

    Mac Mini

Well it would be faster if faster encoding time is (which i don't think it is in this case). I would consider it if i rendered videos since that is a chore to wait for a project to finish but movies can wait overnight. OP if you decide the new upcoming minis are too much then I can sell you my...

    Mac Mini

I have a 2011 2.3GHZ base model with 8GB of ram and it flies even while viewing 4 separate blu-ray rips. It also plays Steam Source games quite well. The new Ivy Bridge models have much better integrated graphics so the base model should suit you fine. The quad core model would be good if you...
