We know that the Chinese economy slowed more than expected in the last quarter. It's hard to get accurate reports, but the recent report about manufacturing shrinking suggests that.
Also, as Uvaman2 pointed out above, the Chinese government is on an "anti-corruption" (read- enforced loyalty)...
Sorry, yes, I was comparing the m.2 versions of both. The question basically boiled down to price vs. performance, and there seem to be clear answers here.
Looking to pick up a 1TB m.2 drive for an sff build for my wife. The 970 evo is currently running at $220 at microcenter when picking up other components, while the 860 is running at $130 direct from Samsung. Is the improvement from the 970 worth the price difference vs. the 860?
A lot of Best Buys are authorized service centers.
I also had an S0 with the swollen battery, but that was a general manufacturing defect and there's a whole policy about replacing the screens even out of warranty.
Curious whether you've tried to put in any sort of fan on the motherboard side. The CPU itself is obviously fine, but the entire motherboard side now has no air except for when the PSU fan is on. Are you worried about the components there?
I have a Gen 1 that recently had the screen pop off. Since they did extend the warranty, I went in and suggested that maybe the battery was at fault. No idea whether it was or not, but they did replace for free (possibly with a used watch, but it sure looked new).
Not helpful- a fan blows a lot more air closer to the blade tips, which would be outside of the heat sink. That’s why people (are/were) so excited about the hslp-48; with larger dimensions you could use a bigger fan.
Liquid- If you want to limit it to 4, I would probably skip one of the 120mm radiators, unless there's a particular reason to include them (I guess maybe some sort of bracket on a GPU and dual 120s, if that would fit/be advantageous?) But otherwise, I'd think everyone would just use a 240mm...
Not dondan, but it’s designed for both. A4, Sentry, and (if produced) the 2-4 fan proposed ncase spinoff, and some others, all have the HSLP’s height as the max height, so that’s where a lot of the discussion has been.
The bigger question is whether dual fans (say, slim 120 on top and 92/120...
I'll just note about Cover A- if there's no really good reason to have the middle bar, get rid of it. Too many GPUs have venting holes in weird positions, and they sometimes line up with that middle bar. No reason to block vents if it's unnecessary.
