Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi, yes I'm trying those today, I wish it would just run stock settings though. I have older ddr4 I can try. Also, I have another mobo, psu and CPU I could try. Not sure the smartest order to swap components. I'm also not thinking that the m2 drive has anything to do with it.
Hi, so continuing this post: I rma'd the ram kit and installed new replacement. This build continues to be unstable. Researching forums this appears to be related to 'low idle freeze'. Actually it will sit over night running, and in the morning as soon as you grab the mouse and say open a...
Thanks for the info, I am using the correct slots.
Last night though, I ran memtest and let it run, with bios set to auto (no docp) and memtest generated 1256 errors. Unless this board (ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero) is somehow undervolting the memory it sounds like a bad kit.
Hi, I just built a new system. X570 mono with 5800x. I bought a 3600 g.skill kit 2x32. I enabled docp, but immediately got random freezes.
I temporarily turned off docp. The system seems more stable, but then I thought I’d run memtest and generated 9 errors by test 6. A second memtest ran...
Thanks for the advice, I'm tempted to wait too, but it appears the age of the 2600k and it's chipset are causing trouble with the intel wireless transmitter.
I have the 3900x on this computer with a X570 chipset and 128gb of ram! Great system - 24 threads means I can multitask cpu intensive...
Hi,
I hoping to upgrade my wireless HTC vive computer. It's on it's last legs with a 2600k oc to 4.8 and a 1080 gpu.
For now, I just want to upgrade the mobo, cpu and ram on a bit of a budget. Main issue is the X570 mobo's are expensive. So I've turned to older B450 mobo's for the lower...
Ok, I reset to stock and then just changed PBO from auto to enabled. Core voltage on auto runs around 1.43v which seems crazy, but that drops to 1.32 under load. With PBO enabled during cb20 load I'm seeing 4.05 exactly as you guys predicted. So next up I'll test the per core oc as per the...
Hmm, ok I'll check, still learning my way around amd bios. I tested p95 small fft at 4.3ghz manual and 1.325v and get instant errors. So I'm resetting to stock and keep testing. Thanks for all the info.
Unfortunately I do both, solidworks and FEA are strongly single threaded and rendering / point cloud software is incredibly multi-threaded (like 100% utilization for 8 hours importing data on my previous 8700k). I knew about PB and PBO but not PB2? More research required.
I would see 4.6 on single core just watching the load on Core Temp though so can't speak about the accuracy of that. I'm currently running 1.35v for the 4.3 manual with LLC at 3, so I see a droop to 1.34 under load. Just now though I'm reading that 1.35 may be a little too high? Aida64...
Hi, I have my 3900x running at 4.3 all cores. So that's fine, improves the cinebench r20 score (7500), but by manually forcing all cores to 4.3 it means they are allways there, and I'm missing out on the boost to 4.6 on single threaded apps.
I'm new to the amd bios environment so I'll keep...
Hi,
I would like 4 32gb modules at 3200. Corsair doesn't sell a 4x32 kit at that speed ( I think 2600 they top out at).
But they do sell these 2x32gb modules.

Do you think 4 of these would work ok? Mobo is...
